Sorry if this was discussed but I try not to go on this site after a loss because there are a crazy number of new threads started. I really hate the rule of 2 personal fouls and a player is ejected. If the refs overreact you cannot go back in time and correct that. I am not defending Richburg one way or the other. I am just curious as to what happens now. Obviously there will be fines but could he be suspended further? Does this lead to some future possible suspension like in the NBA when you get too many technical fouls over a season?
Norman goes with a blow to the head on Shepard and it's all "lol, whoops?"
they are saying he didnt deserve the second penalty...all he did was push norman to the ground and talk shit i mean it really wasnt a crime
This rule makes it so it's probably likely it does happen multiple times more. It's not really a judgement thing like in the past.
You know you have one penalty and are facing ejection, you're obligated to play smart. You know to that the spotlight is on Norman. And I thought the play was attempt to single out and get Norman. It's a crime not to think smart.
I think the Canadian kid came in and did a good job, but Weston has to think smart.

The ejection is a defined rule for 2 of the same personal fouls which he got.

In a game where the referees told both coaches before the coin flip they were not going to put up with any bullshit, and after already having one unsportsmanlike on him for the day, there is no way to blame anyone other than Richburg for his outcome.
Come on bro. The refs were obviously out to get us.

Because Richburg is the only guy that talked any shit yesterday, right? Get the fuck out of here.
And then it was taunting...
Opened up a pile of clarifications needed, Pandora's box style, for the league.
That said, bring back Darian Thompson have Apple on field and stop trying to force Bobby Rainy and we will win more games.
Norman ran his mouth all game long. And since the microscope was on him, you wonder how he was fine. I mean on one play, he's carrying Beckham right in front of the ref - minutes after being spoken to.
If Richburg is flagged for taunting, that's a pretty low standard.
Norman also carried Beckham 10 yards across the field 5 plays into the game on a running play. How can you talk to both teams pregame, and then not flag that shit?
Still, WR is getting more and more PF penalties; maybe needs a drug test, for everybody's good.

It wasn't a block in the back.
And if that's taunting, how was Norman not flagged on the 3rd and 10 tackle he made of Beckham in the 4th quarter (forced the Giants final FG, IIRC)? Was flexing his muscles (hit the ref) and yelling at several Giants players, including Beckham.
Refs had a ridiculous double standard on that crap yesterday.
I wonder if Norman's been hanging out behind that housing complex in Tennessee again
Nope, they never showed a replay. IIRC he was flagged for two fouls on that one, holding and unsportsmanlike conduct.
Argue all you want, if he just stays in control he would still have been in the game snapping the ball inside the 5 yard line.
two huckleberry Giant haters Joe Suck and Troy Fakeman
didn't ask for a replay as the did when Buck Insisted
on several replays to try and prove OBJ fumbled .
The 2nd apparent foul was for Taunting it wasn't even
called a block in the back . It wasn't late the
play wasn't over not even close .
Players talk shit all game long but Richberg was the only
player flagged . Its BS
No it wasn't?
Absofuckinglutely!!! He kept Kerrigan from getting a snif on Eli the whole game! Iwas wondering if he retired before the game, Hart played very well, and as far as I'm concerned Newhouse takes his rightful position, which is backup!

Bullshit. Terrible, just terrible call.
No it wasn't?
Really? Why? Tell me when you've seen another flag for unsportsmanlike in a similar circumstance, where's there's nothing but words as a player is walking past. No getting up in his face, no pointing at him, just words.
It was a horrid call.

If they're going to call that BS, how does Norman himself not get flagged for taunting after his stop of Beckham on 3rd and 10 to force the FG? Or after his taunting of Shepard after his illegal hit? Or for carrying Beckham 15 yards? All 3 of those were as bad or worse than what Richburg did. If you're going to call ticky-tack shit, it's gotta be consistent.
I had thought the call was for an unncessary blind-sight hit to Norman away from the play, and possibly after.
However, you say it was for taunting but maybe all that was said was unsportsmanlike conduct because they could have gone with either. IIRC, it happened a play or two after Norman hit Shepard so I guarantee you that Richburg was "targeting" him.
If the only thing that got him tossed was the taunting, I don't know what Richburg is taunting him about and needs to be a leader and not a moron...
