Positive Thread

This always makes me feel better on other boards.

I'll start, the running game was good. OBJ outside of one drop was phenomenal against an excellent corner (even if you think Norman is overrated). We kicked ourselves in the foot with turnovers and penalties and still only lost by 2.

what if on the injury report tomorrow we have at least one serious injury sustained from this game? and its to a DB
What about it?
BestFeature : 9/25/2016 10:50 pm : link
This is a thread about positives. We can't talk about positives because someone might be injured in the secondary?
we can
BleedBlue : 9/25/2016 10:52 pm : link
my point was things may become more grim tomorrow
Nat Berhe made a RB slide and give himself up
Mason : 9/25/2016 10:53 pm : link
because he didn't want to get by him again. I haven't seen a Giants opponent do that in awhile.
I don't think you understand the point of the thread
BestFeature : 9/25/2016 10:55 pm : link
It's to focus on the positives. If things get more grim, then so be it. Being positive in this thread won't make anyone more likely to be severely injured. It's more so that people don't just focus on the negatives. And you know what? If someone does get hurt seriously, there will still be positives with the team.
Pugh, Hart and Flowers look real good

Jerry had a okay game but I thought he allowed some pressure inside.
Bobby Hart, outside of one drive, looked very good

Some pressure inside? Did you see that fucking hit Chris Baker landed on Eli?
This is a young team with a lot of

LOL. The man said he wanted positive posts. What do you want from me? I tried to be a positive about Jerry as much as I could. haha.

There were a number of times when he got into a much more crouched position in pass protection rather than being so upright---progress

This team has promise

We haven't had a lot of that the past few seasons. Might be another rough one next week, but we should see continued improvement.

We need more threads like this. Thanks for posting.
Thanks exiled

Yeah, I enjoy these threads on other boards. It's nice to counterbalance the negativity.
The OL is not a positive
Vanzetti : 9/26/2016 12:39 am : link
In the preseason, a lot of people over-reacted with doom and gloom. Then after the first two games, a lot of people over-reacted in the opposite direction.

The truth is in between. The OL is not terrible, but they are not great either. Mediocre, middling, OK, decent, passable--whatever adjective you want to use.
I didn't think it was THAT bad today
BestFeature : 9/26/2016 12:45 am : link
I thought they ran well and got two TDs. The protection was ok.

OL wasn't the issue today. The OL gave the QB enough time for most of the game to throw the ball in the modern NFL. It's up to a QB to have a certain degree of awareness of pressure.
