Do not figure to see Rodgers-Cromartie, Apple or Darian Thompson for Monday night’s game in Minneapolis. Apple has a strained hamstring. Those do not heal in a matter of days. Thompson is dealing with a left foot issue, and the feeling is he will not be ready to return this week. A source with knowledge of Thompson’s injury told The Post there is not much concern about a long-term absence and a visit to see specialist Dr. Robert Anderson in North Carolina on Monday was more about due diligence than worry about extensive damage. That visit assured Thompson there is no significant injury and he should be back in a few weeks. Without three of their top defensive backs, the Giants will have to rely even more heavily on veteran Leon Hall, who has been an important and versatile addition but might be over-extended if his snaps increase dramatically.
will be the game you point to in December if this team's clawing for a playoff spot. A golden opportunity at home versus a divisional rival, and they couldn't give the game to their opponent fast enough.
without those players. In order to win against Minny without key players you need great coaching staffs that can gameplan well and the Giants dont have that so yeah..
are already injured. It is comical. I don't care how talented they are. I don't care about ceilings or potential. Can the Giants EVER draft a player that can STAY ON THE DAMN FIELD ???
Nice to know we have two more talented part time players on the exercise bikes.
Well Minny doesn't have Peterson or Bridgewater. Â

Vikes are going to be a difficult matchup.
Absolutely. Which is why I don't understand the notion some people express that late-season games are somehow more important.
The Giants looked like a pretty stupid team yesterday, to me. And I include lots of coaches and players in that assessment. You can't build smarts as a season goes on. You have to be smart on Opening Day, or else ridiculous losses like this one to inferior teams could cost you dearly.

Inability for several seasons to put away teams is the problem. Good teams find ways to do so more often than not.
Giants will have to open up the offensive playbook and pass the ball downfield to our playmakers a bit more to help out the defense.
We definitely have the weapons.

Could not agree more, it is why it was such a frustrating loss
wore on yesterday, seeing more and more of Wynn and Wade etc, I started to get that here we go again with the injuries. Hate them and why do they cripple us.
The Giants Defense with D Thompson, Apple, DRC is much much better than one with Wade in it. Its a killer and that next man up crap does not mean shit when the next man is not nearly as good as the others.
RE: Well Minny doesn't have Peterson or Bridgewater. Â
A very talented player but it seems like he gets hurt constantly. No turnovers produced by defense in three games unless this changes there is no way this will be a successful season.
You need to take some chances with our front 4 on D. The thing with the pigskins is that just when we might have cut loose even more, two more DBs went out. Sometimes there may be a tendency to play "safe" when missing players ...but how do you want to loose?
As always, the next game us in the hands of our DL. Cut them loose. Dare them.to run into a pass rush.
We're not beating them if we're turning over the football, dropping passes that hit us in the hands, and generally finding ways to hand the game to them.

Agreed

We aren't beating anyone if we have turnovers and penalties.
Thought DRC had a groin?

One for each of you
Thought DRC had a groin?
Well I don't know about you but I only have one groin aaaand no ones getting that
Well thats an odd request

Maybe he takes Vareen's spot.

There offense isnt good. They're rushing under 3 yard per carry. Bradford has been sacked 6X in two games and threw under 200 yards yesterday.
The Giants should be able to keep their offense in relative check, injuries or not.
That game will be about how the Giants handle the Vikings upfront.

Or Boone now too.
what the hell does likely have to do with it?
Arizona - Buffalo; Pittsburgh-Philadelphia; Minnesota - Carolina; Rams - Bucs
A ten-year veteran with a Giants SB ring? I'll take it.
