Cruz

I had a feeling that on the last drive Cruz was going to come up big. I truly believe that had Eli not thrown that horrible pick Cruz would have came a clutch for the third time this year.

As long as someone brought up Cruz

my impression is that he's been making his catches on some pretty simple routes, not doing a lot of sharp cuts and multiple changes of direction. Am I wrong?

I agree but he's still better then the guys behind him. Hopefully he'll regain some quickness as he gains confidence in his health.

Yeah, he seems to have good speed and his hands have been pretty good too. Just not sure he's back to the old Victor.

To reinforce your comment, in my opinion there are 31 teams who would like to have Victor as their 3rd receiver.

is rounding into shape and averaging almost 18 yards per reception...
I'll disagree that he's not

making sharp cuts. He has 3 catches on crosses IIRC. He sure made some sharp cuts on the catch and run he fumbled last week.
Cruz had a huge play on the fumble in week 2

where he changed direction on a dime and passed a WR.

Vic looks to be very close to 100%. Is he exactly the same as 2011? I highly doubt it, but he wouldn't be even if he got hurt. He was 24-25ish, now he's like 29.

Is he as good as he would be physically if he didn't get hurt? Nobody knows for sure, but it looks pretty damn close.

He's still getting his legs under him. Cruz by week 8 is going to be something else, mark my words.

I think that comes with more playing time. He will gain confidence as the year goes on.

Did you not see the run after the catch against the saints?
