Paul Perkins is an exciting prospect hope he keeps the ball off the ground. Rainey should be able to provide some of the things Vereen can do, particularly as a receiver. Rainey did fumble 8 times with Tampa Bay in 2015 in just a few carries (most of the fumbles must have come in return game). Not sure how Perkins or Rainey are in pass protection. Just out of curiosity, does anyone remember how Tiki was in pass protection? Glad now we kept Darkwa and Rainey. We need maximum intensity next Monday. If we give that we have a good shot. Good gut check on what type of team we really have this year.

When Running the ball he fumbles on average like 1 in every
70 attempts ... However I think the coaching staff has
a pretty good idea what Perkins is capable of at this point .
Were lucky we have Rainey right now IMO .

I think Tiki was very good in pass pro. For all the dislike for him and his annoying attitude, he certainly knew how to play RB in the NFL and he could play all facets and good enough for HoF consideration. I would love Tiki at his prime on this team.
I'm a little nervous about pass protection against MN with both
lined up to help block, if necessary. We will have to go max protect next Monday night or Eli will get killed. Shorter routes, RBs, TEs and should be in the mix. Getting the ball out fast will be key. The good news is that we have guys that can do something with the ball once they get it in their hands, ie Rainey, OBJ, Shep, Cruz.

Difference between being lined up right and then going to the right place and then actually blocking. Eli has enough to do.

I'd also prefer they play Adams more since Tye and Donnell can't block for crap.
Tye may in fact be good at pass pro blpcking or even fullback run blocking - as a setback .

History is on your side.. typically eli comes out hot after a bad game.
What if they lose with that backfield? Since it is a Monday night game, the headline could be "They Call Me Stormy Monday".
And if the game is lost at the very end, since it will by then be Tuesday Eastern time, the next line could be "and Tuesday's just the same."
