(Which is most consistant more times than not..ie 3 turnovers, penalties, drops, etc in that game) giants might've won more comfortably. But it seems not their fortay to do so last few years
where Brees and the Saints historically play better on offense and the Saints in fact doubled their output from NY.
two, the Faclons had no turnovers.
three, the Faclons had a defensive TD.
I wouldn't worry about what happened in NO last night, I'd worry more about what happened in NY this past Sunday and what will happen in MN on Monday night.

Dont forget Atl had a 10 yard TD drive off a muff punt
I think he's overrated. He's in the upper tier of QBs only because some of starters are so bad throughout the league. At this point I'd rather have Derek Carr.
The Giants knocked themselves out of scoring position
they are usually unconventional so there isn't much to draw from lastnight. If NO had Snead and Viccaro lastnight is a different game. Their injury report is among the biggest in the league right now.

He was overrated 2 years ago, not anymore. I think people finally realize he isn't anything more than an average QB in a very fortunate situation (dome, Julio Jones).
in that game. We should have also had at least 30 some odd points, but we turned the ball over and had poor execution in certain situations.
We have to start being more disciplined and focused in what we are doing. We look inexperienced and tend to lose our poise in critical junctures of the game. Thankfully, we've overcome some of those issues the first two weeks. Last week it came back to bite us!
is there an underlying message that we're 2-1 and Carolina is 1-2?
Yes they played two of the best teams in the league in Denver and Minnesota
But, they are supposed to be the faves to return to the SB. Denver, without a QB albeit solid D and Minny with Bradford should not matter to this "elite" contender..If I'm a Panther fan I'd be somewhat concerned though it's ridiculously early..
That the offense has been mediocre so far especially going against two of the worse defense in the NFL in Dallas and New Orleans. Redskins aren't much better.
That's not really at all on Eli although he had a shaky game Sunday. There's some issues at play with the game plan and game management and personnel in terms of O Line and such.
keep it close, and give yourself a chance to win at the end, and that's what the Giants did
You know, i don't like that. I used to like that when the giants offense could turn it on in the 4th quarter and pull games out.
I think they need to get leads score early as it puts the other team in a more passing mode earlier and thus the defense has more of an idea whats coming.
Traditionally, the Saints have played very well against the Giants, even in the Meadowlands. Atlanta is a divisional rival that sees NO twice every year. I don't think you can read too much into it. Right now the Giants' biggest issues are the defensive injuries and their sloppy play, regardless of opponent.

I said it somewhat tongue in cheek....I think that may have been a formula for Giant teams in different years, not 2016....I think the Giants can really strat to blow out some teams if they utilized the offense to it's fullest capability....just a feeling
Basically we are saying is that we don't have a good head coach because he doesn't hold anybody accountable for their mistakes, and we have weak offensive coordinator who's game plans have been questionable for awhile now?? Sounds about right..
You didn't really bother with a first point. But then again, that would require talking about football.
Require talking football on a thread where the OP says Atlanta scored 45 we scored 16? Are you fucking serious? Should I really take the time to go through the splits of how NO plays indoors vs. outdoors and that since the goal of the game is to W, the amount of points scored is immaterial when the OP can't even be fucking bothered to put his own analysis together?
You know things are shitty and posters have a low bar for discussion when a thread like this passes for "football discussion", but you already fucking knew that and just used it as a weak attempt to take a swipe.
and the same things happened in the first three games, we would be raking him over the coals for the penalties, mistakes, lack of discipline, and play calling....Mac seems to be Teflon....
This next game, will give some insight as to how good a HC he is......can he rally the troops......can he stop the penalties and mistakes.....can he stop a potential spiral for this team?
Next week will give us insight on whether he is a good coach or not?
Lets keep expectations real and look to see if they can clean up some of the knuckle-head personal foul stuff, and not be negative in the turnover differential versus Minnesota.
Those two things alone will make the team more successful and enjoyable to watch...

Jesus christ, Mac seems to be teflon because it's way too early to make those types of judgements. Just as it will be too soon to know how good a HC he is based on one game.
We lose 1 game and we're on a potential spiral. Brilliant.
no offensive TDs against the horrid Saints D, tight game against a weak Dallas team, and gagging up a 21-9 lead at home to a wounded animal rival isn't a very auspicious start.
It will be interesting to see if they can rally in 2 tough, night time road games.
too many comments here sound like Dallas media apologists.
Not trying to be a wise guy, but I've felt all along that both units need time to gel and grew into a cohesive, consistent group. We're seeing flashes from individual (Jenkins, Hankins, Collin, Shephard), but not seeing consistently strong, efficient play. And I'm not surprised.
has been penalties and turnovers. Moving the ball hasn't been a problem. If they clean up the mistakes this is a top tier offense. If not, we will see a lot of games like the Washington loss.
Basically we are saying is that we don't have a good head coach because he doesn't hold anybody accountable for their mistakes, and we have weak offensive coordinator who's game plans have been questionable for awhile now?? Sounds about right..
It happens. It's not like Giant didn't move the ball at will.
Secondly, aw fuck, why should I even bother with a second point.

three, the Faclons had a defensive TD.

You are not wrong to point out we should have scored wrong, but different team, different outcome.
He was overrated 2 years ago, not anymore. I think people finally realize he isn't anything more than an average QB in a very fortunate situation (dome, Julio Jones).

How does that even make sense? even if we score 21 points in those 3 drives where we turned the ball over we would be short of 40...
Atleast 28 points off the board due to turnovers and dropped passes. They don't show the dropped passes during the highlights you know....
We have to start being more disciplined and focused in what we are doing. We look inexperienced and tend to lose our poise in critical junctures of the game. Thankfully, we've overcome some of those issues the first two weeks. Last week it came back to bite us!
I will say its now time to see what we have in Perkins. Jennings on shelf. Vereen out. Darkwa is ok. Lets see if
Paul has some Freeman in him.

The Falcons/NO game had absolutely nothing to do with the NO/Jints game.
Pass the Beer Nuts...

I'm willing to bet, if we played Atlanta last night, it wouldn't have been in New Orleans.

It's McAdoo's third goddamned game.
It will be interesting to see if they can rally in 2 tough, night time road games.
They lost. Period. Now lets judge what they are made of by their performance on Monday night.
Well, when you commit 12 penalties and turn the ball over three times, yet only lose by 2....yeah, that's a fair statement.
Thank you ^

What does that say about our defense?
Thank you ^
not sure. What does WAS putting up 29 say?

Nice take. I feel better already.
