Had this trade proposed to me, from a guy I'd been trying to trade with for a while.

I give:

P. Rivers
A. Cooper
S. Watkins
D. Pitta

I get:

Eli
S. Shepard
L. McCoy
T. Eifert

I think I upgrade everywhere except Cooper.

My team would be Giants heavy, but I can live with that.

Here is what I'd have in 12-team PPR:

QB: Eli/Prescott
RB: Gurley, McCoy, Yeldon, Howard, Dixon, Drake
WR: Beckham, Shepard, Landry, Eifert (no TE), M. Thomas, T. Williams, V. Cruz

Can't stand dealing with Watkins game to game status and Eli is an upgrade over Rivers I think. Plus McCoy helps me at RB and Eifert isn't far away.

If he's going to start for you for the next 13 weeks, $30 isn't that bad a price

this week to start TY Hilton @JAX over Dez Bryant @SF right?

I'm thinking with the potential knee injury and the fact his QB doesn't throw that much downfield, makes Hilton a better play. Plus with Moncrief out it seems Luck remembered who his best receiver is.

My other WR's are Allen Robinson and Marvin Jones (flex).

Yeah, I'd start Hilton over Dez this week. Any word on Dez' MRI?

I probably would. Hilton is a legit WR so its not that much of a stretch. Dez can't be trusted on a week to week basis even before the injury. There's no reason for any team not to double him and live with the underneath stuff to Beasley an Co. Also, you will have the benefit of starting Robinson and Hilton and hope for a defenseless game.

Well the team that picked him up has Maclin, Sanders, Baldwin and Hilton already in addition to DeSean Jackson, Crowder and VJax.. so I don't how often he'll even have a spot for him. It's not like he was desperate for WR's.. his RB's are pretty bad.. he has Elliott and not a whole lot else.

I would start Pryor over Maclin/Sanders this week. Probably Baldwin too if Wilson is out. I'd also be trying to make a trade if I was that guy, but in a 10 teamer the only guy likely to command much in return would be Hilton I would imagine.
i think that's a bit aggressive
UConn4523 : 9/28/2016 9:31 am : link
there's no way I'm starting Pryor over Sanders. Pryor may be a nice add, but I wouldn't start him over better players just yet. I don't watch much of the Browns, but i'm guessing he hasn't been drawing the best of coverage on a game to game basis. Defenses will start accounting for him soon enough.

Pryor over Maclin is worth rolling the dice, that KC offense just isn't WR friendly.

Until Gordon comes back next week and we see how things change, Pryor is the only outside weapon the Browns have - and they have shown in this offense they are willing and able to push the ball downfield. Throw in his "wildcat" plays, and it's a no brainer to start Pryor.
No brainer is strong, and your opinion
UConn4523 : 9/28/2016 9:40 am : link
and an argument can be made for Sanders playing the Bucs vs. Pryor playing the Redskins (who i think have a better defense than their games have indicated). To each their own, but I don't think there's anything clear about it (and you can make the argument that being the only weapon means he will get all the defensive treatment). I'd would be surprised if Pryor has 4 points or 24 points this weekend, and maybe that's a risk worth taking, or not.
I was able to land Pryor off waivers
Mr Brightside : 9/28/2016 9:43 am : link
and speculated on Howard last week...would you Flex Pryor or Howard this week in 0.5 PPR?

I'll concede no-brainer is strong and my opinion, especially with regards to Sanders. I think he is a no-brainer over Maclin though.

Pryor. I'm just not sold on the Chicago offense. If Carey is also back this week that hurts Howard's value.
I agree
UConn4523 : 9/28/2016 9:45 am : link
I hate Maclin in that offense. Pryor has a ton of upside weekly, but as always its the Browns. It will be interesting to see what happens when Gordon is back, that can actually be a really fun offense to watch.
Non-ppr would you do this trade
pjcas18 : 9/28/2016 9:49 am : link
I get:
DeAndre Hopkins
LaGarrette Blount

I give:
TY Hilton
LeSean McCoy

I do expect Blount to cool off next week when Brady returns, but at a minimum he'll still get the goal line carries I'd expect plus his usual 15 carries.
yup
UConn4523 : 9/28/2016 9:52 am : link
I'd do that trade.
any under the radar adds this week?

I would assume Jordan Howard is gone by now in most leagues. I've started stashing away Kenneth Dixon in some leagues, as he should be ready to see the field within 3 weeks (don't think it'll be this week). Most early reports have been they can see Dixon taking the starting job my mid-season since West/Forsett aren't doing much.
Seems like Smallwood
pjcas18 : 9/28/2016 10:41 am : link
leapfrogged Barner, I'd stash him if you have space.

It's a bye week for him, so maybe not much interest.

He was snatched up in FAAB in my league.

What do you feel about this trade in PPR:

I get:
Melvin Gordon
Will Fuller

I send:
Jordan Howard
Sammy Watkins

Yes, just with no info behind it, I am really high on Gordon the rest of the year. I'm never a fan of Watkins, as something is always lingering, and his injury now is a foot, which for him, could be troublesome.

Another back, to just piggyback on the Smallwood, would be Deandre Washington in Detroit. He's gonna get the Abdullah work, while Riddick will still do the passing work.
i'm stashing a ton of guys
UConn4523 : 9/28/2016 10:47 am : link
my RB's are:

Anderson
Sims
Riddick
DeAngelo
Dixon
Drake
Smallwood (just added him and dropped Langford)

I'm hoping Dixon can get atleast a good chunk of weekly carries by week 6 or so. Drake is a longshot and would be my first drop if I needed to. DeAngelo i'll hold until I can't any longer, just in case Bell goes down.
Washington and Howard
UConn4523 : 9/28/2016 10:48 am : link
and everyone else in that immediate backup role are gone. I'm more thinking longterm, guys that are 3rd at WR or RB on the depth chart and could have an impact down the line.
I just dropped Drake
pjcas18 : 9/28/2016 10:50 am : link
the rotation they used last week is one I read they'll continue to use and they really want Ajayi to come out in front.
He had the TD last week.

Plus, Foster could come back, though it would likely only be temporary until the next time, I just don't think Drake is a worth a roster spot.

I do have Jordan Howard and Kenneth Dixon still as developmental backs. I really want Paul Perkins to emerge, he's sitting out there, but I can't add him yet. I think by mid-season we could start seeing more of him.

In another league I have Dewayne Washington - I lost Abdullah in two leagues. I like his future prospects too.

Darkwa/Rainey should see a lot of work. Perkins would be a down the line guy.

If PPR at all, Dexter McCluster in San Diego can see some of the Woodhead targets in the passing game.
I agree on Drake
UConn4523 : 9/28/2016 10:52 am : link
and he's there just in case Ajayi shits the bed this week or next. Drake did have the most carries in week 3, so there's somewhat of a reason for me to hold him for another week as long as I don't sustain any big injuries. My Bye weeks are pretty well spread out, so I won't need to make room (hopefully) for any 1 week adds.
Going even longer term,
ManningLobsItBurressAlone : 9/28/2016 10:58 am : link
if you have an IR spot a guy like Dion Lewis can come off the IR in Week 7, and the Pats have a week 9 bye. Week 10 would be a realistic comeback option. James White hasn't been impressive and Dion was putting up near RB1 numbers last year.
Anybody still alive in baseball?
Cruzin : 9/28/2016 10:59 am : link

I'm looking for an update on whether Pujols is done for the year. I know he's had a reoccurrence of his plantar facilitis but no word on how serious it is. I have to fill that 1b spot with at least a live bat. Preferably someone that plays tomorrow on the short schedule but Pujols has been hot, I'd hate to drop him and gave my opponent pick him up for the weekend.
Is this crazy to consider?
pjcas18 : 9/28/2016 1:49 pm : link
12-team PPR:

I send:
Rivers
Beckham

I get:
Luck
Hilton

Would there just be no point to that trade? I have been trying to upgrade QB forever (seems like at least since I drafted Romo and lost him before the season), and it cost me Marvin Jones so far. I just don't like Rivers that much to be content with starting him.

I don't like that trade. We've reached a point where you can borderline stream QBs now. I'm not giving up OBJ with Hilton to replace him to upgrade from Rivers to Luck
Could use input on this trade

I am a notorious non trader in my league, most of the time I go through the year without trades, but I like this one.

Give: AJ Green

Receive: Brandon Cooks, Jeremy Hill

I'm getting SMASHED in this league...

My team is:

QB- Rodgers
RBs: Foster, Matt Jones, Gore, Ingram, Dion Lewis (still holding him)
WRs: AJ Green, Watkings, Michael Floyd, Jamison Crowder
TEs: Ebron, Eifert

Ingram seems to be coming around and Gore is holding the spot down at the moment. I don't think AJ Green and Brandin Cooks is really much of a dropoff at all, but Hill would be a good piece to have to actually solidify my RBs. This would cause me to drop Lewis however, and I've already held on to him for this long at this point. Maybe I'd drop Jones instead.

Full point PPR, 12 team. Thoughts?

Meh. It's an even enough trade, and I wouldn't let dropping Lewis hold me back from making it. Don't really see it as a big upgrade though. Hill is redundant with Gore/Ingram, just gives you an extra decision to make each week (unless Hill becomes your Flex given your WR situation). Cooks is a slight downgrade over AJ from a consistency standpoint.

Definitely true. We have to start 3 WRs and don't have a flex, so I'd have to make the Gore vs Hill decision weekly.

Absolutely not. A healthy RB who may net the most receptions in the league out of the RB spot vs. an often injured RB on a team who's goal line carries are dominated by their QB, and his back up who splits time with another back up.

I'd say the roster spot is more valuable than the difference between Stew/Fozzy and Riddick. So I'd pass as well. Lateral move at best, and none of those guys have a ton of upside.
First year doing any type of PPR
giantsfan44ab : 9/28/2016 4:36 pm : link
and even for half PPR I like how the draft went. I expected drastic difference in where RBs went compared to my standard league. Not at all. In fact guys like Stew and Lacy went around the same spots as my standard league. I nabbed Duke Johnson and Woodhead between the 80s-100s. Riddick with the last pick of the draft. I know 1 league is a small sample size but I was surprised that the Yahoo draft board didnt adjust its rankings for half PPr as much as I thought (if at all).
