We haven't punted much but he's near the bottom in the league in net yards and yet to pin the ball inside the 20. The punt return yardage allowed is among the league's worst too.
There are not many punters with more touchbacks than balls inside the 20 and he's one of them. In comparison, the Rams guy has 12 punts inside the 20 with no touchbacks. The Pats punter kicked six of seven punts inside the 20 last week too.
if I knew better I'd say he's "out-kicking his coverage" literally.
15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty that negated a blocked punt
Crowder breaks long punt return
Fake punt allowed
On the other hand we have a fumble recovery and a blocked FG for 6.
I'd like to see this even out as this is more bad than good early on.

Other than the blocked FG and score. The special teams have been awful.
This. I notice the announcers saying it was a bad snap on a FG attempt but nice hold and kick.
on the long PR he did exactly what weatherford always did to piss Quinn off - they had a directional punt to the left and he smashed it to the right sideline. Apple was heads up to be there but of course pulled him hamstring along the way
There were numerous missed tackles and Apple was right there, had hands on Crowley and whiffed.....So pooooof that theory goes up in smoke. Think Harriss had hands on him early too.
