Defensive back Doran Grant was signed to the practice squad. He played in three games for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2015, when he was drafted in the fourth round from Ohio State. Grant was waived on Sept. 6, signed to Pittsburgh’s practice squad the following day, and to the active roster on Nov. 4. He was released on Sept. 3 of this year and signed two days later to the Buffalo Bills’ practice squad, where he remained until he was waived eight days later.
Also, as expected, Shane Vereen to IR and CB Michael Hunter re-signed.
Thought that too lol
Just trying to recall what I read before the draft seemed like he was too small to play outside and not fast enough to play the slot.

Very few know more about DBs than Chicago Marty, imv..Marty?
I remember him being compared to Hosley coming out of VT.
I thought Grant was a solid draft prospect coming out of OSU in 2015.
He had good size and speed and did 21 bench presses at the Combine where he stood out. BJ over 40 that shows some explosiveness.
Grant was a Defensive captain for the Buckeyes and was said to have a high football IQ. Some projected him as a Safety in the NFL
He was known as a solid tackler and projected as a capable ST guy
Pittsburg has an excellent reputation for talent evaluation so they clearly thought he was worth a fourth round pick.
I think we need someone from the Pittsburg area who has more local knowledge as to Grant's development or lack thereof when he was with the Steelers.
One question I would have in re Grant would be his change of direction ability. But other than that I would have thought that Grant would develop into a solid NFL db
Don't see the downside in putting this guy on the PS. I would think that a change of scenery and hitting the restart button could be helpful

Thats the kiss of Death.
People forget how highly touted Hosley was as a 2012 NFL CB prospect.
Maybe I was thinking of someone else then
I hope not.
