BBI Update: Roster Moves (Vereen, Hunter, Grant), Interviews

Eric from BBI : Admin : 9/27/2016 4:30 pm
FYI...
Giants Sign Michael Hunter; Shane Vereen to Injured Reserve - ( New Window )
So Vereen is done for the year

Or is there a chance he's one of those "designated to return" candidates? Like potentially in late November as the team is (hopefully) fighting for a division crown?

There is no official designation anymore, but yes, he is eligible to return if healthy (a big if).
Grant from Ohio State

looks like this may be a good pick up...

The Steelers sure aren't sentimental about their fourth round picks.

Grant was waived before his first season, and again before his second. Then he couldn't stick with the Bills' practice squad. At this point, he's probably just a name from a great college program. If the injuries keep piling up in the secondary, we might find out.
I bet Lions fans thought they were getting a good pick up

when they signed Rod Babers.
Losing Vereen is a big loss

He was a real safety crutch for Eli and first year HC to rely on throughout the games in a variety of situations.

No one guy can slip into that role for them.

Rainey can to some extent, and he will probably make some exciting plays. My fear is that the "bad" Bobby Rainey will continue to pop up at the worst possible times, as he did in the corner of the end zone on Sunday.
Again with the Rainey crap

It was a tough catch the ball was under thrown and the
guy is only 5'8" . It's ok when Vareen fumble and drops passes though right ? Lastly Shane is Not an every down
back , how long did you think he was gonna last ..
Were Lucky to have Rainey right now ...
