Documentary now (it's basically a mock version of existing documentaries, the season premiere was fantastic, it lampoons the political process. The show is an anthology series aka the episodes are unrelated to each other. Bill Hader and Fred Armisen star (linked below is the first episode)

Love this show. My gf and I use it as a drinking game. Every time they say "god damn" we drink.
Then there's Outlander, Black Sails, The Americans, The Leftovers.
I won't embarrass myself (further?) by sharing my B list.

I couldn't make it past three episodes of season 1, seemed like a good idea, but was brutally boring.

The first season of the Knick was outstanding. Some of the second as well. The second half of the second (final?) Season felt like the fictional equivalent of a brisket you slaved over for hours and then finished in the microwave to accommodate impatient guests.

I don't know how widely seen it is, but with a solid part 2 of season 4, Vikings would reach Deadwood status for me.
It's that good. Top 10 - 15 all time. And it gets very little recognition.
True Detective likely won't see another season. It's been "ended" for the foreseeable future.
