And maybe my only 'big concern' going into Monday night is Everson Griffen 4 Sacks, Linval Joseph 3 Sacks, Danielle Hunter 3 Sacks. All three are truly awesome, physical, athletic Dlineman. Not to mention Anthony Barr at the edge. It could be a long day for Flowers, Pugh, Richburg. Jerry and Hart. It will definitely prove to be a good test to see how good we really are up front.
What about you, what's your biggest concern going into Minny?
The game is winnable, if the Giant's wounded can play, and we play mistake free football...
Minny is very good and Zimmer is proving to be a great coach. They are well prepared and play hard.
We have to play a good, smart game.
That team just kills us...
Nice to see a solid #2 pick just walk out the door when entering his prime.
On the other side of the ball I haven't any doubt. Vikings offense is infamous. All O-Linemen are terrible (but Matt Kalil). They are averaging 2.1 YPC (our weakness). Bradford is not a real threat. Our D has looked really well with signs of improvement.
20 points should be enough to win this game. Avoid mistakes is the key to perform it IMO.
He threw them right?

Eli is probably the only player left from that game.
He threw them right?
I suppose he's learned nothing since then? Will feel obligated to force throws to a whiny, veteran dooshbag named Jeremy Shockey? Have Darren Sharper and the same Minny scheme against him?
These posts remind of the TV "team A hasn't beaten team B in 25 years" and then mention later that they have played each other twice in that time. Completely irrelevant.
Preach.
Their offense doesn't concern me really. Diggs is nice, but i think Bradford will have too much pressure to find him deep. If we can force Bradford into chucking the ball downfield I think we win this thing.
I agree with you for the most but....pretty well?
has emerged as a Very Good One .
If we don't get some turnovers and make some plays with
the special teams this could get real ugly .
Our O-line needs to be at it's best without mistakes
and hope we catch the Vikes napping a bit ....
I don't have a good feeling at all about this game ..
That said we should win .lol

still acting like losing Linval was a franchise crushing blow for us...please. Would it be nice to have him still? Sure. He's played pretty well for them, just about as well as expected. We can't re-sign every draft pick we select.

I'll admit that I'm just looking at the stats - but Linval had pretty much idential tackles and sack numbers his first 2 years in Minnesota as with the Giants. Doesn't really strike me as some amazing difference he's making.
They are all incredibly physical and swarm to the ball. Similar to the Seahawks D at its height a few years back. Maybe not as good, but similar.

Why does that name sound so familiar?

Become one of the top DTs in the league. Minny got a bargain. If Linval was a free agent this year, he would get twice what they are paying him.

Yea, well... he threw 2 picks last week and had at least one other dropped. And he forced a throw to Tye (who, by all accounts isn't nearly as douchy as Shockey lol)
The thread asked what's my biggest concern? It's Eli and throwing picks. Minny has a legit top 5 defense, so I'm concerned.
Yes, he threw a bunch of pick 6's vs them in the past. It happened. Relevant or irrelevant, it happened. Let's hope for the best, but my concern remains.
If Eli stays clean and doesn't throw any int this week I think we win, fwiw.
My concern is whether we will the see defense from the first two games...or the last game.
Otherwise I have no concern. the Vikings run game doesn't scare me, they have one receiver, and their QB is mediocre, worse if they can get a pass rush on.
On the defensive side, the Vikings excel, but if the Giants want to be the man they have to beat the man (WTF does that even mean?) it means if they want to be a top 10 offense, they need to impose their will on a top 10 defense and I think they will.
If DRC and Apple can play I have no concerns for Monday night.

Have you heard of Jonathon Hankins?
Having these 3 WRs and not playing outdoors in 30 degree weather will make it easier for the offense than it was last season. Cam Newton was actually playing until he hurt his ankle. After that, he was awful and was taking sacks after holding the ball for a year. But it will all come down to the o-line.
I'm not saying let's throw in the towel on the game, just recognizing that this game is not as important as the 12 that follow it, and I wouldn't risk anyone's health for the season just to try to win in Minny. I worry about certain players trying to do just that (see DRC's comments in his interview about returning to the field, for instance).
Not sure what you mean by gunshy, but I don't think Eli has become less likely to pull the trigger.
Perhaps you mean he's concerned about being hit, and isn't taking the time to read the field. In that case, I completely agree that there have been some preliminary alerts.
