I was wondering if anybody had any comments or complaints -
A friend went to the game on Sunday was in the 7th level (blue seats) and says that he wasn't allowed to buy drinks at concession, people were prevented from going to their seats, etc?
Anybody have similar experience or hear anything like this?
all the seats are gray and the upper level are the 300s.
Anyway I saw no problem with anything as far as crowd control issues etc.
I could buy beer till they shut down sales at the end of halftime. Never stopped from going to my seats. No unruly fan issues that I saw at all.
I know for Jets games they have an alcohol free section on level 200 called the family zone, I have never heard this for the Giants.
That said, I think that security has wide discretion to tell vendors to hold off on alcohol sales, or temporarily have people stand in an area instead of going to their seats.
I think it has been discussed in another thread, that some folks feel that the stadium has gotten rowdier or more full of drunks lately.
Had your friend ever been to a game before?
I also don't know what you're referring by "crowd control". If a particular fan was out of control or appears overtly intoxicated, the Event Staff can have him/her removed.
Again, I have no idea what you're talking about.
To be fair, I'd like to see a stadium filled with 80 people where you can stroll out in 5.

geez, Mara would be forced to clear house if only 80 people in attandance..that's even less than both teams personel lol

Dallas for one is relatively easy least where I was seated. And don't remember it being as bad as the old stadium.
Met Life isn't my favorite by a long shot - and I generally agree it could have been better, etc.
That said - it is a freakin football stadium, people complaining about music, beer, etc is a personal thing.
I was there Sunday, and the previous one, and 8 x last year and I have absolutely no problem with the place, getting beer when I want, taking a piss when I want, or telling some drunk dude to sit down.
I said "Sam! Tell me the section you were sitting in!"
He said 319.......geeez!

Totally depends where u park. I part in lot g I'm out of the stadium in 3 minutes and that is no exaggeration
He also said he was forced into a security bag/backpack check line but had no backpack or bag.

Very true I was eluding to just getting out of the stadium not getting to my car. But it certainly does depend where you sit. 3 minutes you say impressive! Took me literally 30 minutes to get to my car.
Yah, he's a Jets fan, but just an overall NFL fan, he'll go to any game he can get to
last thing this guy needs is an elevator...he's 52 and in better shape than most 22 year olds, guy is ripped
I always whine about this, its a nightmare getting out of the upper deck. Just not enough stairs and unlike the old stadium, all levels ultimately feed into the same path of egress. God forbid there was ever a need to evacuate. Cheap bastids.
It's not easy, particularly if you go to the end of the stadium with the pirate ship. I really appreciated that Met Life allows people with plenty of freedom of movement.
Didn't look or sound like there was much, more than the Saints but 5% max.
There are way more Cowboys and Eagles fans at games.
Of course, Philly is close and Cowboys fans are everywhere, god knows why.
It is fairly easy and cheap to go to a skins game in DC, so many choose not to, especially since they have been so bad of late.
They don't want to speed things up; they want to train you to go in earlier and spend more money in the venue.
fixed this -
Thanks Jets Obama
