Old Dirty Beckham : 9/28/2016 1:05 pm : link

mdthedream : 9/28/2016 1:07 pm : link

i'm only kidding
Old Dirty Beckham : 9/28/2016 1:08 pm : link
no quotes yet from the giants but i'd doubt it.
McAdoo said yesterday that it's too early to tell with DRC and Apple

Thanks

It will really hurt this defense if we lose both players. Hoping that at least one of them can go.
So we're at the point where posting a thread
Mike in Long Beach : 9/28/2016 1:26 pm : link
on the biggest question mark(s) we have going into a game is getting chastised?

Can we discuss this Giants at all?
No worries if one or both can't go, we have Wade
Jimmy Googs : 9/28/2016 1:38 pm : link
who should be able to bounce back from getting torched by the punter last week...

Sure, all you have to do is dismiss the one response made by the one poster who's poking fun at the question and you're good to go!
Dont worry
XBRONX : 9/28/2016 1:43 pm : link
the DE's will help out the DB's with constant pressure.
No big deal
mdthedream : 9/28/2016 1:48 pm : link
I actually was surprised it wasn't a big topic. Really was a big blow during the game last week. Also yes the Punter pass really pissed me off.

Now there's an intelligent post. I'd lay a wager that 99 out of 100 players get torched on that play. Why in the world would he expect a pass? Does he have eyes in the back of his head? His job was to harass and block the gunner from getting to Harris.
Sometimes you just have to say the other team had a great play called and executed.
Wonder what happened to the segment of the population
Ten Ton Hammer : 9/28/2016 1:57 pm : link
That crapped on the draft because 3 corners is a "luxury".

Punters complete 99% of their passes on fakes?

I guess if that was the case then Wade should definitely have been expecting a pass...
No way they play this week imo..

You guys have seen enough of these similar injuries (yes, people heal at different rates) to know that this could easily be a multi-week situation..DRC is a gamer, but I would hate to see him in there at 70% effectiveness..

IDK, but a good hint a pass was coming, was when the 'receiver' was looking back for a few seconds for the ball.
If his eyes are turning for the ball, then Wade should
have turned around, but he was oblivious.
That really wasn't one of the best fake punts I have seen.
As for the OP, doubt Apple or DRC will play on Monday.
Hopefully they will be back for Aaron Rodgers the following week, that's what I hope.
Get used to Wade for possibly a couple of games starting
micky : 9/28/2016 2:49 pm : link
Both out changes this defense as being more conservative as saw last week with wash after they went out
Bad news
Fish : 9/28/2016 3:04 pm : link
injuries happen. Defense is so much better with DRC and Apple. Add Thompson to that as well.
The best way to avoid ridicule on this board?
Maryland Giant : 9/28/2016 3:08 pm : link
Ask the question as if your fantasy lineup depends on the health of the player. Then a lengthy, detailed, and deadly serious discussion will ensue.

Get used to Wade being a target...
Article I read yesterday ....
Beer Man : 9/28/2016 3:55 pm : link
quoted Mac saying something to the effect that it is early in the week, they both need to heal, and neither is ruled out as of yet. The article also said not to count on either being on the field for a few weeks. Regarding Apple, they made the point that Hamstring strains take time to heal (usually more than a few days), and that Apple would probably miss a few games. Regarding, DRC, based on how gingerly he was walking, the author believed that DRC would probably miss a few weeks as well. All was speculation, nothing from a doctor, so take it for what it's worth. I'm not holding my breath that we will see either this week.
Well lets see the current injury list now to starters...
Jimmy Googs : 9/28/2016 4:16 pm : link
- Thompson
- Jennings
- Newhouse
- Vareen
- DRC
- Apple

Who am I missing?
Hamstrings, as always, are day to day
Ten Ton Hammer : 9/28/2016 4:20 pm : link
Rushing it or overworking it can make it week to week.

It definitely hurt us but Washington was down a corner and saftey too.

Same with Eli A: no way he plays vs. Minny this week seeing his pain and limp on the sideline: even for a 21-year old, that's two weeks minimum rest, imo, and then it's dicey if he comes back too early

TTH, one of the few times I'd take you to task for being wrong: hamstrings are at a minimum week-to-week
On a side note ...

the Jets waive Dee Milliner from injured reserve today

Assuming that's waived-injured.

Milliner was one of the guys I was really coveting when he came out. His career isn't turning out as I predicted.

Yeah. Pat Traina said DRC seems likely a go. Apple is the bigger question mark.
