CBs Eli Apple (hamstring) and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (groin) didn't practice. Worked on side w/trainers. Doesn't look good for Monday.

Rashad Jennings was participating, but appeared to be doing more yesterday than today. Still iffy at best for Monday. #Giants

Darian Thompson entered field house as media access ended. Still in a boot.
Marshall Newhouse not out there, so Bobby Hart still RT vs Vikes
The the good thing is Apple and DRC...

Something to keep in mind: #Giants will practice on Sunday before travel to Minny.
Might not get concrete injury answers until then.

It's unbelievable how unlucky we always seem to be when it comes to multiple injuries to one particular position. Now it's the secondary. Brutal.
Berhe is in the concussion protocol
Tony in Tampa : 9/30/2016 12:20 pm : link
I would not expect him to be at practice
Giants free safety Nat Berhe placed in concussion protocol - ( New Window )
The extra day
Carson53 : 9/30/2016 12:48 pm : link
may help w/Berhe on the concussion protocol.
I have seen that before in this league.
He could be cleared Sat. or Sunday for example.
Count me in

as not concerned about the injuries YET. These injuries are miss a game or 2 type, not season ending. We had a million of those the past few years. I'll take these any day.
Berhe is a little guy
Vanzetti : 9/30/2016 1:18 pm : link
who tries to compensate for his lack of size by hitting hard but the end result is generally that he is the one who gets injured

he is also not very good in coverage

move on already

he just flys in at the end of the play with his head down trying to kill somebody...hence the nickname..."the missle"

Personally, I have no problem with Hart

But, was Beatty signed strictly for depth all along?

Yup. These are the typical league-wide, "everyone has injuries" that people have alluded to and I agree. The injury situation of the last 3 years were FAR FROM typical and certainly not fitting the "every team has injuries" mantra so freely thrown out here to minimize the seriousness of how bad our injury situations to BOTH regulars and depth was..

Hart has two years in the system. Beatty had one year and one hurt season.

May take a little while to get in shape and learn the system.

Besides that Hart looked ok last week and the running game was better.

Beatty is probably not in full football shape. He is also 31 and coming off an extended period of not playing. So, I think we have to wait and see what happens further into the season.

But it is a good sign that Hart was able to beat him out. Hart has another two relatively cheap years.
