did anyone NOT have Watkins as the #1 receiver in that draft? And if he was second, it probably was to Evans and not Beckham, who was ranked third if he was lucky.

Even Reese admitted to having Watkins ranked ahead of OBJ. But he had OBJ ahead of Evans.
The Bills didn't just use one pick on Watkins, either.
would have thought Sammy was a sure fire NFL prospect.
He was versatile (all purpose yards), but he excelled in each of the categories.
He had both potential and production, and was a leader.
I feel bad for Watkins.
Is running routes constantly is tough on feet and legs. Stockier build seems to be a bit more injury prone at receiver. I don't have the facts of course but comes across that way to me.
Yes, no doubt, Watkins and Evans were the top two WR's before the draft.....Reese was bound to get lucky, for once...and by lucky, I mean, getting an impact player to drop into his lap, in a position of need....

This. People don't realize buffalo has had the least amount of pass attempts the last two years. Last year was extremely impressive getting 1000 yards and 9 TDs on only 60 catches and missing a few games too I think. Really hope this injury doesn't linger. If you watch how he played the second half of last year I don't think anyone would argue that he has all pro talent.
Absolutely. Hence my comparison to nicks. He's about as dominant as nicks was his first three years. He had a better top end gear but he reminds me of Hakeem every time I see him play.
Maybe 4-5 games in 2 plus years. And not one person would have taken OBJ over him. LT type luck IMO
Physically very similar and style wise and both players broken young......
