Another big day of College Football with the obvious two headline games fresh off of Washington's pounding of Stanford last night.
Usually you don't have this by October 1, but after today we're going to have a pretty good idea of the teams that are going to be the real contenders for the playoff. The ACC will have the Louisville-Clemson winner, the Pac-12 has Washington or maybe Utah, the SEC and Big 10 each have the 3 teams who all play each other; The Big 12 needs a Baylor or WVU undefeated run; and Houston. That's about a dozen teams left on 10/1.
How is Wisconsin an 11-pooint dog?
Mone playing today for Michigan is huge.
Go beer! Go cute college chicks!
But the Torii Hunter play against Texas didn't warrant a review according to the Big 12 replay official.
Both teams have score 4 TDs each. Oklahoma state up 5. Never seen that before.
They were a very, very good team last year that brought back a lot of players.
If you think they didn't deserve to be ranked prior to the year, you simply didn't pay attention to anything that happened last year.
They lost two games in the regular season by a combined 4 points, to Stanford and Clemson.
It has fallen apart, but asking how they were ranked prior to the season is simply dumb.
Agree..maybe even til 2nd week of oct or so
30? Wisconsin defense still will give Michigan fits running the ball. 24-7 would be ideal for me.
The Syracuse defense is absolute shit. More reasons why the Tampa 2 is a gimmick predicated on front four pressure. Yet Cuse starts two true freshman at DE. Great job Babers. Maybe time to switch things up? Or nah.
Who are you?
Meanwhile, OSU 58-Rutgers 0
Just remember, win or lose, Harbaugh has sleepovers with high schoolers and Michigan blows.
On Wisconsin.
The Badgers had the strongest starting LBs in the Big-10 and now 2 of them are out.
Still, UW is well-coached and has a true next-man-in ethos, so I still expect it to be a good game.
BTW, Michigan's TE is reputed to be excellent. And of course Peppers is worth the price of admission.
With Biegel out is will be easier to focus on Watt. Still ...
Harbaugh has sleepovers with high schoolers and Michigan blows.
Yeah well if Penn State, both would happen at the same time.

Game. I see the injury excuse has started, lol. Go Blue!
Who are you?
A guy who reads you thrash Michigan week after week. Now right before the game you use an injury excuse. Kind of expected that from you.
Hoping Wisconsin and North Carolina pull out some wins next. Louisville Clemson is gonna be great, I'm thinking Louisville wins.
This is how you get upset. Missed field goals. Moronic sweeps to true freshman who arent ready.
What fucking bums.
Ive been saying it all year. We dont have a QB or kicker.
What fucking bums.
Wisconsin's offense has to actually score points to win this game.
Memos to Harbaugh:
Nordin to kick FGs
No more jet sweeps
More underneath to Jake Butt
Stop being overreactive. Jesus. You want to switch starting Qbs at half against these ranked bums?
Quote:
and use Nordin the 2nd half. Speight and Allen are not going to win you games.

Actually I wanted it 3 weeks ago.

I knew we would lose but holy shit Michigan blows.
Ive been saying it all year. We dont have a QB or kicker.
We have a kicker who needs to play. As for QB, it would be nice to see what O'Korn can do.
Lol, ok.
Can Wisconsin do anything with it?
If you follow the posters who have been here all year, the same thing has been said.... we dont have a QB. Havent had 1 all year.
They arent winning this game.
Best kicker in high school.... still wont use him.
Best kicker in high school.... still wont use him.
Great call dep.
You wont use your 4 star kicker. Now their kickers are 0 for their last 5.
Sorry Harbaugh, you deserve 100% of the blame for this game.
You got what you wanted and the kid shanked the fuck out of it.
Wants to redshirt him.
You got what you wanted and the kid shanked the fuck out of it.
Wrong B. Not him. Thats the backup sophomore. He wont use Nordin this year.
I stand corrected I guess. Wtf is Harbaugh doing?
You. Play. To. Win. The. Game.
To the 4th we go...
To the 4th we go...
We played there in front of 111k fans. It was pretty amazing to look out on a one tier stadium with that many people. And we beat that ass, which was nice.
Kenny Allen - shining start this game.
Now come on d, bail the offense out one more time!!!
Come on defense.

Jon is performing a fantastic troll job here...but yeah, not too impressed with Michigan

Yeah dep I've been noticing. Just watching the matchup as an Ohio State fan getting ready for thanksgiving weekend. UM clearly on the right track but not sure they can reach their full potential until Harbaugh gets an elite guy in there at the position . Either way it's good to have the rivalry back

Yeah I think its clear with Barrett and the game at OSU, Ohio St will probably win. But he has Mccaffrey's brother coming in next year as the best QB in the nation. I wonder if he would just throw him to the woolves. Michigan loses a ton though this year.
What an INT! Even though he should have dropped it!

JIMMY HARBAUGH!!!
You got something go there Jon. I was worried about a team like this. Wisconsin is going to be a handful for OSU both times they will have to play.
It was a beautiful thing to watch
FSU's defensive coordinator needs to be fired. 3 man rush with 40 secs and NC needs 40 yds to get in FG range? The defense is horrible. Fisher won't do it, he's too loyal.
Fantastic defensive performance by both teams. Lewis was incredible.
It was offsides i believe, but yes, even those 5 yards could have cost them
I think that’s the case with all college sports. College basketball is the same way, so many unbelievable endings in the tourney. The cinderella story/underdog always shows up more than once.
Maybe most exciting...

is easily the beet sport ever. I know there are a lot more games, but you see so much wild shit every week

Isn't that why we watch? For the excitement?
I've been to a ton of NFL games, super bowls, playoff games, huge regular season games. Also been a ton of college games, including a bunch of non ND big games.
Not one NFL atmosphere could even hold a candle to atmospheres like the Clemson-Louisville game tonight. Even last week Tennessee-Florida was a better atmosphere than I've ever been at for an NFL game.
It's just such a great experience going to a college football game.

I think the atmosphere is what makes college sports. I am not a rah rah guy at the game, probably why I enjyo professional sports games more.
If I don't get married or have kids in the next few years, i'm going to pick a couple year stretch and just go to a huge college football game every weekend in the fall. I have so much fun going to college towns for a weekend and seeing a huge game. Tennessee-Florida last weekend was just an amazing weekend.

Whoeever takes him number 1 or 2 is going to have buyer's remorse.

Your plan makes me very jealous.
Carolina deserved that game. They got a safety taken away from them on a BS spot. FSU's defense is atrocious. Clemson is going to carve them up...
That was complete bullshit...
I love turnover filled games too.
Yep. Sure does. Is that turnover number 4 or 5?
If Louisville wins, the heisman is over and it looks like Louisville has to take down Houston for the final 4.
Pervis Ellison vs. Hakeem Olajuwon. Who would have thunk it?
But I do hope Louisville and Houston, smaller time teams, get into final four and give their best.
Go Louisville!
Tough to see both Louisville and Houston both make it. They play each other later in the year.
In a game like this where I have no rooting interest, I pull for whichever team is behind.

Watson looks pretty good to me.

#5 by my count.
Oh sorry, I thought you said touchdown, not turnover.

Could be the same number for each.
I want OT. Don't want this game to end
Yup, obvious PI
but not*
Hell of a game to watch though.
Btw was at a bar - what was justification for saying that int where the ball clearly hit ground in end zone was in fact a int?

Problem is what happens if you have a 1-loss A&M team that's beaten Tennessee but only fallen to an undefeated Bama? Washington wins out? Too many permutations left.
