i started flipping channels and watched the last 40 minutes of Pulp Fiction followed by last 30 minutes of Risky Business. Two almost opposite movies - both fit this category
Because who hasn't felt like Bill Foster at one time or another. Especially when all you want is a ham and cheese whamlet and some whammy fries but they stopped serving breakfast.
Pulp Fiction
The Terminator 1, 2
The Lord of the Rings 1, 2, 3
Bourne 1, 2, 3
Casablanca
Tombstone
The Sting
Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid
Guys and Dolls
The Road Home
Die Hard
listed here. But among non-classics/forgotten movies, I just love Jeepers Creepers. Just a really good scary movie with an awesome bad-guy. I always enjoy watching it. Even the sequel is a good rewatch due to the scarecrow scene, although the HS kids get annoying. Pretty sure they're making a part 3.
Porkys
Police Academy
Caddyshack
Meatballs
Animal House
Pretty in Pink
Spaceballs
Beverly Hills Cop
Ferris Beuller's Day Off
Nation Lampoon's Vacation
Easy Money
The Blues Brothers
48 Hours
Mr. Mom
Smokey and the Bandit
- Christmas Vacation (every Christmas for the last 25 years)
- Tombstone (more than 15 times)
- Red
- Blast from the Past
- Desperado
- Men in Black (the first one)
- Rambo - First Blood
- The Thomas Crowne Affair (the Brosnan/Russo version, not the McQueen/Dunnaway one)
- Return to Me (no. 1 chick flick)
- comedies Hangover, Road Trip, Old School, and Something About Mary
having my kids watch the classic 80's movies. Mainly because of The Goldberg's, but we've shown them Bill and Ted's, Ferris Bueller, Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Die Hard, and a few others.
We just watched Dodgeball as a family, now my son can't stop quoting Patches O'Houlihan!

Good call -- I especially liked that the closing scene is the poster for the movie, and it only makes sense until you've seen the film.

Man Of La Mancha
Casablanca
Run Silent, Run Deep
The Bogie/Philip Marlowe movies

I also watch some movies just for the Special Effects --
Gravity
The Martian
The early Star Wars movie, before the CGI took over.
One movie I'll always watch is "Sneakers" an early 90's spy flick with Redford, Poitier, Ackroyd, et al. Just a reminder of a simpler time, when our enemies were easy to identify.
So many Marky Mark movies: The Departed, Boogie Nights, The Fighter. Same neighborhood, different actors: Goodwill Hunting. Watched Predator the other night, so ridiculous and so good.
Groundhog Day

Isn't that funny? Some bad movies are like those really bad songs that you don't really like and yet you sing them every time you hear them.

Well....I don't know, but it must be quite a lot.
I remember when Falling Down came out, a lot of people took it seriously, which always amused it. It's clearly a black comedy.
