You're right is many respects; most of Ken Bone's comments could be considered rational, albeit a bit creepy, reflections on the topics that he was opining. In fact, I'd consider nothing less from Ken. The insurance forgery crosses the line, IMO.

Nobody is suggesting that Nassib or anyone else start in place of Eli. The mere mention of Eli struggling brings out the moronic commentary and hysteria from the lunatic fringe. Evidence is ample in this thread alone... cry me a river.

I especially love the poster who said Eli is not mobile in the pocket even though it's the one trait people all agree that Eli moves well within the pocket.

Despite the fact that there have been posters this week suggesting that Nassib should get a spot start in place of Eli so he can rest (most of them speculate we should give him the London week off), there hasn't been the "mere mention" of Eli struggling.
If has been a cascade of posts saying eli is essentially done, or that he's hurt, or that he's in rapid decline, or that he's skittish and a pussy, or that he's mentally screwed up from taking hits (one poster called it the David Carr effect). Multiple posters have said the days of eli carrying the team are over. some have said his body language of all things proves he's not mentally in it.
These aren't mere mentions - these are pretty strong accusations said with a near certainty of being true.

wait, it's ridiculous to suggest that he's on the decline? Â
I can agree with you on any silly posts about starting Nassib, but I'm going to have to part company on this one. A soon to be 36 year old quarterback who has just had two horrid games back to back very well might be on the downslope. Nothing outrageous about that.

He may as well be on the decline. But he had two very good years thr last 2 and he started off the year very well. A lot of us are hoping it's a slump and one good game will snap him out of it.
there have been some reasonable posts suggesting his best days are behind him. I think that's a fair question.
I'm mentioning the ones saying he's in a steep decline and we need to draft his replacement next year. Funny, because we didn't see any of those suggestions after week 2.
There's a difference between the expected wonderment at when he's going to be aging and those saying he's aging now, not normally, but with Progeria.

Not really true. One side being a pile of shit doesn't ameliorate the abject, absolute shittiness of the other side.

Understood. You’re a sharp guy so I imagine you arrived at your refurbished worldview via reason & due deliberation.
Fascinating developments in the world of political repositioning. Not always/necessarily good, either. I’ve alluded to this before: give up a little now or a lot later. The younger generation(s), for instance, feel cheated, are cynical, and are alarmingly willing to countenance a wild overcompensation by, say, septuagenarian political Santa Clauses (among others).

I especially love the poster who said Eli is not mobile in the pocket even though it's the one trait people all agree that Eli moves well within the pocket.
What competent football authority has ever lauded Eli Manning's ability to move well in the pocket? Eli is excellent at releasing the ball quickly to avoid contact, but when he holds onto the ball, he has balls batted down, fumbles makes Napoleon Dynamite look like Fred Astaire. Hell... Eli has fumbled several times just because he couldn't decide whether to slide, or wait for them to foam the runway.
maybe your brain cells were so mobile they rolled out your ear. Can't wait for the next theory. "The Giants need cheerleaders" oh, wait, you already shared that delusion too.
While the pinko officers are a minority of the officer corps, the represent the vast majority of the commies in the services. You won't find many in the enlisted ranks, particularly as you look higher in the ranks.

Figures. It's always the officers who are fucking leftists.
This is a true and false statement. While not all officers lean left, proportionally, more officers lean left than enlisted.
I learned something new - officers are leftist(?) - I might call BS on this one.
Maybe your peers aren't so much left leaners, but I've met many more officers than I originally assumed, who do lean left not only politically but socially as well. And this isn't just small groups in specific services.
Now I'm not saying that officers in general lean left, but a sizable number do. And compared to our enlisted counterparts, it is far greater proportionally.
And this is just my opinion based on my anecdotal experience, but I find those (military personnel) who do lean left more critical thinkers with more empathy than those leaning traditionally right. This is, by no means backed by any empirical evidence, but it's almost like those who fall into the traditional conservative service member stereotype seek path of least resistance when forming their opinions on various social and political issues. I know I'll get shit ton of hate for that, but that's what I've seen in my 18 years in the military (in one capacity or another).
only for a few as the thread was mostly civil and fun until a poster got flustered. transphobia rears its ugly head.
The Jennings thread on meeting with Cory Booker got deleted too. I saw a decent thread, with civil exchanges. Then the thread just vanished (I'm guessing in large part to not so wonderful contributions from Blackbeard)

I learned that Radar's opinion about the Bob Dylan thing... Â
I've learned that these Friday threads used to be entertaining.
I learned that you got those amazining forearms from counting money ( I wish you well in retirement), it took me 2 years to adjust, steady income or not.
I've learned that radar knows more about football than 90% of the posters on this thread ( and 95% of posters on this board) but has no clue about Dylan's contribution to society as it has formed because of him ( and I'm more a street poet ( Springsteen) follower than a revolutionary). Fault me for being younger than needed or excessive use of parenthesis.
I've also learned, as a former bouncer and current resident of Wilmington, NC ( 40 minutes south of Camp LeJuene) that most Marines are complete assholes that need their ass kicked occasionally no matter the protection duty they are charged with.
But I do agree that most Marines are, indeed, assholes and need their asses kicked. I'm sure you've done your fair share of asskicking, and I think we all owe you our appreciation.
“This is the sort of bloody nonsense up with which I will not put.”

Figures. It's always the officers who are fucking leftists.
This is a true and false statement. While not all officers lean left, proportionally, more officers lean left than enlisted.
McAdoo is too dumb and country to even know how to dress himself let alone be a head coach
CoverBoys don't go over well with some posters or Putin.
2-3 is worst than or 0-6 start a few years ago.
The Redsox won as many post season games this year as the Yankees
We have a skankhunt42 just like the Southpark troll.
This place is unreadable as the game threads after a loss.
You mean the people who are overreacting and calling him done? Those people are the sane and rational ones, right?
While I’m unsure why that warrants a frowny face (your rightward BBI amigos will still like you)…perhaps, like for your starred compadre Gen Powell, it’s less you that’s changed than a contingent which – before its steep descent into inanity - once gave you pause .
(And we have better beer).
I can agree with you on any silly posts about starting Nassib, but I'm going to have to part company on this one. A soon to be 36 year old quarterback who has just had two horrid games back to back very well might be on the downslope. Nothing outrageous about that.
Team is two & two after a road lost. Start heading over to the hippie supermarket that doesn't use plastic bags...
P.S. Reading people mouth the words "strength and conditioning" is another easy way to tell you are reading someone who no fucking clue about what they are talking about

He may as well be on the decline. But he had two very good years thr last 2 and he started off the year very well. A lot of us are hoping it's a slump and one good game will snap him out of it.

Or at least siena16 believes this and posted it here with out any proof it was posted. Then deleted it before a mod saw it.
The guy can miss 18 games over a 6 year period and still play in 90% of the snaps since he was drafted!!

That's always freaked me out.

The frowny face was actually just me poking fun at myself. I am more than happy with where I am in my political and social views. I've definitely changed in the past decade in how I view the world, and I believe that it was for the better. And I do love some good beer!
Haha!
Yeah...because your Libertarian side is so cool.
Hey guys, look at me...I'm all Libertarian and shit...I'm such a cool guy.
I never said I loved living in Maryland. I miss California...wait a minute...
actually thinks we're the cool kids? Cmon, man.
Well, maybe Nick Gillespie and Matt Welch do, but only because they're trying to sell books.
Assholes.

I won’t elaborate lest the site owner & his banhammer squad fuck my shit up.

I learned something new - officers are leftist(?) - I might call BS on this one.
Your delusions the WCO is only for a mobile QB b/c the league figured it out are hilarious. Eli comes off back to back fantastic years and you actually stick your delusion.
My tears of laughter are dehydrating me. Please stop sharing your delusions before I need an IV.
Hell... Eli has fumbled several times just because he couldn't decide whether to slide, or wait for them to foam the runway.

lol. I have no words for this post other than to say you dont understand the game of football whatsoever. Just a terrible, terrible post.
Assholes.
Way to ruin my intended post!

Will always love Nick Gillespie for how he destroyed Rachel Maddow on the HBO Bill Mahre show a few years ago.
Is he related to Nat Behre?

Haha...touché.

No thats the trolls who are saying that real fans are saying 2-3 lets get this thing going.
only for a few as the thread was mostly civil and fun until a poster got flustered. transphobia rears its ugly head.

Well, since when did the commies start becoming all inclusive? I thought they were about persecuting those who were different.
Of course they're inclusive. They don't discriminate - they persecute EVERYONE.

The Jennings thread on meeting with Cory Booker got deleted too. I saw a decent thread, with civil exchanges. Then the thread just vanished (I'm guessing in large part to not so wonderful contributions from Blackbeard)

that it takes a special type of gigantic douchebag to mock kids who suffer from a humiliating genetic disorder that caps their life expectancy to their mid20s (if they are lucky). why don't you post mocking pictures of kids dying of cancer while you are at it.
And I learned that it really takes a gigantic stupid fuck to not realize that picture was posted to show Greg what Progeria was.
Wouldn't you be better off just saving your misguided disdain for Eli?
Is there a lifetime achievement award for annoyance? BBI should give one.

Did I just end a sentence with a preposition?

Appreciation accepted, I do my best. All I ask is you try to be a little more entertaining. That's not too much, is it?
