But, every team we have played the last few weeks has been missing key players. Each of the last 3 weeks we have played we faced a banged up OL with nothing to show for it, until today. And at that, our blitzes are still not getting to the QB.

I never seen such horrible coaching on some many different levels. This coach put more effort into making sure his players stood for the anthem at pre-determined spots than coaching on the field.
A crappy FB makes no difference. But, why not line up a TE or backup OL once in a blue moon? Instead, call for a slow developing run where the RB gets the ball deep against a good rush defense. That sounds like it would work.

He'll be lucky to go 8-8 in year one, and 6-10 in year two. Given the weekly improvement in this 'breakout' offense, this team may be lucky to see 5-11. McAdoo is fond of using 'we ran out of time' line after a loss, but this offense would need 180 minutes to win.

Shotgun with 3 wide has been successful for us the two previous seasons. The difference is that they used to run the personnel and formations with more variety.

just a total lack of understanding of the situation. All the defenders were straddling the sideline. Do you think 4 defenders magically followed Sterling Shephard? Hell even Tye was 10 yards in front of SS with defenders all around him.
But he has to play better for us to be even mediocre. Watching this team it should be obvious to most that we have a very serious problem in our scouting department. The draw is actually a fairly common first call on a drive under similar circumstances.
That call has always been met with boos. As much as taking the knee. Just because Giants fans are so used to the draw play does not mean it is the standard. There were no time outs and the running game has yet to be effective in the game.

calling SS and VC excellent is just wrong. plus they are 5'10 whih makes them harder to throw too in the red zone.

Cruz barely EVER gets any seperation anymore and Shep is still very much a work in progress and Odell has at least 2 guys on him most of the time. If you ask me Odell is still the only good wr we have. I'm hoping Shep gets good but Cruz unfortunately is done as an elite wr.
I think Perkins could be that guy, but he's not going to get the touches he needs to be effective. Rainey is getting more carries now. Jennings is nothing more then a 2 -3 yard guy. We need some ability to get missed tackles, because our Oline just cannot run block well

McAdoo won't ever call play action pass on 1st and goal
using flanker screens and dump offs to compensate for the lack of a running game, which is not good. That will have limited success, despite the last drive. I agree that I'd use Perkins more. It's too late to do it this game, but I'd also flip Flowers to RT as soon as Beatty is ready. Not sure what to do about Richburg, but B. Williams is admittedly a handful for most.

Except, there is little to nothing to indicate the next Parcells is even a remote possibility. Parcells oinherited a crappy team, but at least the defense he was DC over continued to play well and improve. McAdoo inherited a team that is, pon paper, much improved over last year, but they are playing as bad and the offense he oversaw is playing worse with more talent on board.
I'm not predicted and that is my point. It's dumb for anybody to believe they can predict his career success as a HC five games and one quarter into it.

Cruz barely EVER gets any seperation anymore and Shep is still very much a work in progress and Odell has at least 2 guys on him most of the time. If you ask me Odell is still the only good wr we have. I'm hoping Shep gets good but Cruz unfortunately is done as an elite wr.
