he should be fired during the week of the bye. I said after last week's game that the issue is the running game and it remains the issue. Sure the OL sucks, but playing Adams (blocking TE) and Perkins, best running back on the team, will help. Staying with the status quo is just plain dumb.
Could easily have gotten a taunting penalty on his first TD, and gets called for an unsportsmanlike on the second one. Can't you play well without the fucking histrionics? Celebrate, but figure out where the line is.
RE: RE: Barely escaped an injury-savaged ravens team.
But, how F-ing stupid is Donnell? How do you come up short of the first in that situation because you try to juke a guy? Get the 5 fucking yards moron.
officials have become the center of the game
Steve in South Jersey : 4:28 pm : link : reply
NFL is ruining what used to be a great game.
Once they went up=tempo its clear Mac's play calling isn't
working and again we can't run the ball ..
OBJ just went off Eli got his confidence back but it wasn't
because of the Coaching .
Again Quinn stinks
But should never have come down to these shit refs
What are you talking about? Officials can directly impact a game. They gifted the Ravens yardage in the 2nd half in situations where the Giants D held them. Even Triplette announcing the roughing the passer penalty was in a 'yeah I'm calling this BS now' tone.
RE: Seriously though, is Odell ever gonna grow up?

Nobody was near him on the first one. That's the only way it could have been a taunting call.
RE: I really don't think I say this through Giants colored glasses
The officials very nearly handed the Ravens the game. There were 4 critical calls or no-calls in this game that all negatively impacted the Giants in a HUGE way:
1) No PI on the throw to Lewis in the end zone
2) No PI on the 3rd down throw to Shepard that resulted in an INT
3) PI on Cromartie - I don't know what Green was talking about DRC's arm around the waist of Wallace. One, you couldn't definitively see the contact. Two, you could see DRC's arm, so it couldn't be behind the receiver. Three, it was called by the official in the middle of the field, who had no angle to see the contact. The official right in front of the play didn't see any contact. Four, DRC was turned and looking at the ball.
4) Roughing the passer - He didn't take more than 2 steps. It was 2 steps and not a big hit.
run defense and goal line stands, but there still was no real pressure until the second half. Flacco is immobile, and is less than a year removed from a torn ACL. Their OL is also a shambles, including no Stanley.
We also had no run game, which meant lots of check downs, and flanker screens, s the Ravens played their safeties back for most of the game.
Eli again missed a higher than acceptable number of throws. I think on the second INT, SS just slipped.
Flowers had a number of plays where his technique was lacking, and Richburg was again poor.
Lots of penalties and turnovers. Again.
No idea why Harris fair caught or returned three punts inside the ten.
I'd play Perkins, Adams, and Okwara more. I'd also flip Flowers to RT as soon as Beatty is ready to play.
But, how F-ing stupid is Donnell? How do you come up short of the first in that situation because you try to juke a guy? Get the 5 fucking yards moron.
He is a big body that has zero football instincts.
Very impressed with post game interview. He is well spoken. No way he should get a penalty for taking his helmet off after the play is over and he has left the field.Best offensive player the giants have ever had.

That last drive by the Ravens was so bizarre for many reasons. Their time management was strange - NO sense of urgency - and they were gifted questionable penalties. The Giants Defense came up big today. My hands are STILL shaking from all of the adrenaline. I'm just relieved they won.
Now on to LONDON and the Rams! I'll be at the game and I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Was one of the worst officiated game in a loooooong time. Plus on DRC, if anytime it's a penalty on both players for PI. That is the worst it could of been. Even though I think DRC shouldn't had a penalty at all. But how do you call him on a penalty and not the WR for mugging him to prevent the interception
And for that I'm grateful. Beckham looked like the best WR in football, Eli led the Giants to victory in terrific fashion and the D did enough to win. We're a mess but we're 3-3 after a tough opening stretch of this season. Enjoy the week and hold out a little cautious hope that better things lie ahead. At least it won't be a terrible week. Maybe we're on to something with this team but they aren't there yet. Keep working boys.
We also found out if you can let Eli throw the ball downfield more
did Darkwa play at all? I missed about 5 minutes of game action in the first half. If he didn't, then shame on MacAdoo.
Wow, this team refuses to do anything the easy way.
Stupid penalties all around, can they cut Wade already!
After the OO penalty, I almost lost it, damn stupidity!
Aside from the poor start and the HORRIFIC DRC flag, I thought that was an entertaining game. Back & forth punches. I was genuinely worried about Eli Manning after 1.5 quarters, but he put together a nice 2nd half. Ugly win, but good things to build off of. The Ravens aren't a bad team (despite the injuries) and well coached. It's hard to dominate them.
After the Beckham fumble on the first NY play, just great to see him catch 2 long TDs. The Giants needed that, not just for this game, but for the season so badly. The shit with the net is stupid and when there's 1m+ left for Baltimore, why are you taking off your helmet? I get the emotion and yes the rule is stupid, but cmon...
I called after last week's pass rush debacle for the Giants to blitz Landon Collins more. He is excellent rushing the QB and in the box
He is mostly poor in coverage with terrible hands and the Giants still need a center fielder. The bomb to Mike Wallace illustrated this. Jenkins got burned and there was no help from a safety
Overall the defense is not great, but it's decidedly out of the basement of the NFL and is no longer a massive liability. They make plays.
The run game is abysmal. Abysmal. Was there a notable rushing gain the entire game? Seriously...can you name one? The Oline is opening zero holes and Jennings should be off the team next season. Darkwa & Perkins more touches. PA not even worth it
Aside from missed DPI in the end zone on Lewis Jr, the officiating benefited NY. (I didn't think the contact on the intercepted pass to Shepard was DPI. The OO roughing the passer was fully justified.) Until the DPI call on Cromartie. Just a horrid, horrid call. The transition to arena league continues. Among the worst flags I, and I imagine most of us, have ever seen. Fuck that shit.
Broken record, but this team needs a TE in the worst way. The receivers, while they have their strengths, are not large and are mediocre in the red zone. They need that big target in the flat. LD is a poor player.
WIN IN LONDON. GET THIS SHIT BACK ON TRACK. Eagles showdown week 9, who's ready?
call was fine by me He took a few steps and brought him to the ground. That's going to be called.
In a bubble, I wouldn't have had a problem with it, but after how badly they fucked the Giants today, it wasn't absolute enough to be called in that situation.
It does concern me that the offensive playcalling seems pretty lousy and we only succeed through sheer athletic ability (OBJ) or players improvising their way open (i.e., Cruz on the catch to the 1). Maybe someone with better knowledge than I can weigh in on what they're seeing.

It's pretty clear he doesn't care.
He does have a net as a new friend though. That's getting old quickly. Once is funny, not after that.

you guys need to breathe. yes we are undisciplined, yes OBJ has to chill the fuck out, yes donnell needs to put forth a better effort but its a win and without that horseshit PI call we prob win the game sooner but its a win against a solid team injuries and all....at 3-3 we are in the mix. root for GB today and we are back in the division!

The offensive play-calling did look absolutely horrendous at times in this game and I yelled at the TV that McAdoo has to give up the play-calling. These stood out...
- 1 yard quick pass to Donnell on 3rd & 9 as if Larry will make that play with PERFECT blocking from the WRs.
- The entire final drive of the first half
- Their seeming inability to complete a pass on 3rd & short/medium.
Could easily have gotten a taunting penalty on his first TD, and gets called for an unsportsmanlike on the second one. Can't you play well without the fucking histrionics? Celebrate, but figure out where the line is.

Then the coaches need to make him care.
Ten Ton, he pointed to and was saying something to the defender.
The guy was about 7-8 yards away. The announcers said he could have gotten called for it. It just shouldn't even come up if he plays with a little more self control.
Quote:
This effort will not get a win next week.
And we're not injury ravaged at all? It's football..
They started the day missing 5 or 6 starters and lost 2 more during it.
And they still could have beaten us.

Yup
It was like it was fixed
Brutal
- They looked like they were coached by baboons at times
- Ultimately, Odell & Eli cleaned up the mess
I hope they win just as ugly next week. A win's a win.

Well, they've already tried a coaching change. Next step is changing personnel.
. Last play of game
. A love tap
BS call
PI call in #BALvsNYG was not correct. Official almost seemed to confuse offense and defense.
By waiting another offseason to try and improve our OL again.
:)

How many personal fouls, unsportsmanlike conducts, and general lack of awareness plays are going to be tolerated?
Just a terrible team right now. Terrible.

I was wondering the same as well.

So what exactly is the NFL going to do about this..its not a first..a slap on wrist? They get off easy
This is almost as bad as Preston Parker now.

He gets only plain M & Ms instead of peanut, and half a demerit when considering playoff game referee crews.

Come on, Eric. We all know you post as a dupe on the game thread. We're just not sure which one.
