This is exactly the type of win that can change a season.
This team overcame a lot and came together to win what one might consider a must game at this point in the season.
The defense came up big time and time again with multiple 3rd down stops and a huge 4th and goal which may have saved the game as much as anything else.
Odell broke out and seemed to shed whatever monkey was on his back this season.
Eli showed that if he is allowed to throw the ball downfield more consistently on drives he resembles the old Eli a lot more than what we have seen to begin the game and also these past few weeks.
A lesser team would not have been able to overcome that horrible PI call and would have folded with an excuse in hand. This team was not to be denied a win today.
Sure there was a lot of ugly today but only good teams usually find a way to win even on days when for much of the game they played poorly.
Maybe this team is beginning to find itself.
We also need to use Perkins more. Our running backs are terrible.
Offense looked nice, but tough to tell against a replacement defensive missing multiple starters.
DL finally made an opposing QB feel some pressure, albeit against a banged up OL. Still a nice improvement.
DBs - this team is just much better with DRC in the game. Collins, Jenkins are playing like pro bowlers as well. Let's hope Apple and Thompson can get back on the field soon.
Casillas and Roger Lewis deserve some props as well.
On the downside--Donnell, Wade. These guys are just plain bad.
Perhaps..Be patient..Only 6 games..This shit is endemic to the league..I'm not going to point to recent SB years as it's not germain other than Eli is still leading us..No team really impresses me even if their record (s) is very good..They all have warts..Let's see where we are late November, early December..And yes, you could ultimately be spot on..
I've said it all season: I think we know what the Giants are as a team in week 9 vs Philadelphia. I want to see them blitz and kill (figuratively) Carson Wentz. If they fold like they did past 2 seasons in prime time, I'll be looking to 2017.

The weaknesses are enormous and crippling to the areas that aren't weak.

Whole lotta nothing in this post.
And the Giants? Before you allow yourself to be swept away on a tide of hyperbole , remember Wallace running wide open at the eight, and Flacco missing him on the sideline.
I still have hopes for this season. But the Giants aren't anywhere near being a good team, at least yet.

Yeah, having never seen Wentz prior to coming into the league, not sure what to make of him, though I believe I read he's prone to taking a bunch of sacks. He did today..To date, hard not be be impressed after 6 games (after Dallas finishes theirs) with Dak and Wentz

You are describing virtually every team in every game..Every game has QBs missing wide open receivers, it's indigenous to virtually every game that's ever been played. I don't know what to make of this team so far, but pointing to specific plays the other team COULD HAVE MADE is rather silly? Imo
Congratulations to the D for their goal line stand. Haven't seen that in awhile and overall they played well.
I'm so damn disappointed that pass rush is one of these weaknesses.

Perhaps you're are right and it was overstating it but a win like this for a team having a rough start under a head coach in his first season and it just may be a turning point.
We shall see.
A win, some of the media pressure dying down, some of the fingers being pointed get put away - and maybe they can focus on improving enough to pick up another one next week and build up momentum.
I also think that with time the roster will improve, with continually increased snaps for Perkins and Adams, maybe a return to health by Vernon, the return of Apple - so the team will strengthen on the talent end as well.
