Giants with 200 reveiving yards in a game.

truebluelarry : 10/16/2016 5:47 pm
Beckham is only the fourth Giant to reach this milestone, and his 222 today is the second most.

Quote:

256 yards - Del Shofner 10/28/62 vs Washington 11 receptions 2 TD

222 yards - Odell Beckham Jr. 10/16/16 vs Baltimore 8 receptions 2TDs

204 yards - Amani Toomer 12/22/02 at Indianapolis 10 receptions 3TDs

204 yards - Plaxico Burress 10/2/05 vs St.Louis 10 receptions 2TDs

Honorable mentions, a few who came close:

Quote:

199 yards - Hakeem Nicks 9/16/12 vs Tampa Bay 10 receptions 1TD

196 yards - Homer Jones 10/1/67 at Washington 4 receptions 2 TDs (49 yards per reception!)

193 yards - Amani Toomer 12/23/00 vs Jacksonville 8 receptions 1TD

Damn - 256 yards receiving back when

the ball was run a hell of a lot more than passed, that must've been something to see.
I was at that 7 TD Tittle game.

Iirc, TE Joe Walton (Yes, former Jets HC for those who don't know) had 3 TD receptions that game

and Indy games were extremely extremely memorable. Great games.

The flea flicker at the half in Indy? The 3-4 TDs that Plax caught in St Louis?

Great games
Also, with regards to NickS

wasn't that the game where he got injured that essentially changed his career? Or was that Atlanta?

Yep, the Greg Schiano "rush the QB kneel" game.
I believe Odell had 211 yards

He needs to clean up the stupid. That said, for this fan, it's hard for me to be critical of his actions given how passionately he plays the game..

You put up with a Moss, a Bryant and even an Owens (for as long as possible) and their crap, when you possess superstar talent, imv
Oddly, it didn't ''feel'' like his best game

after some of the magic his first two seasons. And I would have guessed Nicks' Tampa Bay game had superior stats.

But a 4th down go ahead TD in the final two minutes is just fucking beast. Beast. So great that it came after that LD let down play.

I hope he fucks up London. Just shit on the Rams. And (getting ahead of myself) time to come up big vs Philadelphia.
According to tweet on ESPN...

Most receiving yards in the second half of a game since Steve Largent in 1987.

I was 10 years old and it made a big impression on me!

256 yards - Del Shofner 10/28/62 vs Washington 11 receptions 2 TD
OBJ the second Giant with 2 60+ yard touchdowns in the 2nd half
