Injured in pre-season. I believe he had knee surgery. Wonder what his status is, and whether he could come back this year?
He's doing well.

I believe he's already started some running. He's stayed with the team, attending meetings and rehabbing. Surgery went off without a hitch. But he cannot return off IR this year. He went down before the deadline to be eligible for return.
The Giants should work out

Owen Daniels and Scott Chandler this week.

Larry Donnell is soft in the head. For a guy that big he should be running over people instead of trying to sumersault over them. I was listening on the radio to Carl Banks and Howard Cross and they were half making fun of the fact he does such stupid shit like that.

When he didn't pick up what would have been a first down by just plowing straight ahead instead he zigged and zagged, Banks kind of went off that he didn't have the awareness of the situation and how close he was to getting the first down and how important that was. Bottom line he sucks. Jerry Reese next year needs to to fucking finally address the postion.

Finally address the position? Jerel Adams? Was there any terrific TE available that should have been taken over our first 3-4 picks?
The injuries to Johnson and LaCrosse really hurt

First, I'm not sure Donnell is on the team if LaCrosse was healthy. Second, these were two best blockers and would have made a big differences in run and pass blocking. Tough break.

Over the past four or five years Reese has treated the tightend position like he has the offensive line. I mean for God's sake you mean to tell me he couldn't have found at the very least a competent tightend for Eli to lean on once in awhile when he needs too?

One lost his foot to a bacterial infection, one tore up his knee, one had a neck injury.

Like who? I know it gets tough when rebuilding. You have to pick and choose and the salary cap can at times limit what you do aand where you go in free agency. But Jerry tried to take the cheap route with offensive line and we all saw how that worked out. And it seems to be he has taken the same path with the tightend position.

Adams may turn out to be the answer we'll see. We can only hope. But a competent tightend in the offense would go a long way to helping the passing game when teams are trying to take away the wideouts, it gets you one on one match ups that are favorable and something Eli hasn't really had on a consistent basis in quite a few years.

I honestly think they had Hunter Henry high on their board in the 2nd until Chargers took him. However, I think Adams will be good but is just a slow learner. He will need more than a year.

That's what I thought. Whether they would have taken Henry instead of Shepard is of course unknown. I also think they wanted a lineman that went to the 49ers, but settled for Adams.
