He is going to cost $5M on their cap next year. His contract is technically for 2 years with a voidable 2nd year so they could split the signing bonus and fit him under the cap this year.
Jets begged Fitz to return and gave him 12M when there were NO other bidders because the coaches believe Geno is HORRIFIC. The Jets drafted QB's two years in a row because Geno is HORRIFIC.
Now Jet fans think Geno will be their savior despite the fact that he has started 29 games and clearly is a horrific QB.

If they waited another week they would have Cleveland and Miami and he could presumably look decent. This way he will probably shit the bed so they could go to one of the less seasoned guys to get reps. I guess Petty would be next up.

One was a fumble where the RT failed to even slow the pass rush. Geno got hit nearly as soon as the ball was hiked.
