NFT: The best last best plane ride ever

Throughout the years I have heard different Mets players refer to this on occasions. Victory Journal does a pretty good job piecing together this story in this video.

Read this book, it's an excellent account of those '86 Mets. It also gets into that plane ride.

That was some group- "The Fun Bunch" that were arrested in Cooters in Houston. Very few if any bot scouts on that team. But they won 108 games. I remember watching that game on my Sony Watchman on the train ride home from work. I had everyone huddled around me for that hour ride. Best game I ever saw.....until Game 6 against the Red Sox!
