Per PFF - Case Keenum has been very good when not pressured

When Case Keenum has 2.6+ seconds to throw, his QB Rating is 106.4 (#8 in NFL).

With 2.5 seconds or less, his QB Rating is 76.6 (#31).

I didn't think his numbers would be this strong, but as with most NFL QBs, if there is no pressure they can pick you apart.

Given the Giants' difficulty in creating a consistent pass rush, this would seem to be a key indicator about how the defense is going to perform.

All QBs are

except for Logan Thomas
Pretty much a given.....

however, A Rodgers didn't appear too consistent, even when not pressured?!

Well, Spags will have to pick his spots, but we will definitely need more blitzing this week.
Apple may be back

When we have the big 3 corners healthy, I think Spags will be more prone to blitzing. Very hard to leave Wade on an island.
we could see a lot more

'run' blitzes this week. I expect Collins to live near the LOS on Sunday.

Agreed. Collins should be living at the line of scrimmage on non-obvious passing downs. Hopefully, they use him as another LB to help with Gurley. Actually, if the other safeties regain their health, then I'd like to see Collins play the LB regularly. He seems a perfect fit as the Mark Barron type LB. Given the struggles we've had their to an extent, he makes a perfect fit.
The point I was attempting to make is that Keenum is better

than I expected.

The defense is going to have to play well, otherwise Gurley and Keenum might have field day with them.
So you're saying we need our pass rush to be good.

2-3 it is.
Crap, 3-4.

I'll see myself out.
We can't afford to lose this game.....
Simms11 : 10/20/2016 12:25 pm : link
this is another game we have to win in order to keep pace in the East and WC. We have no margin for error and that Washington game is still haunting us. First and foremost is to stop their running game and force Keenum into longer down and distance. That will also help our pass rush.
also don't forget we're playing a Jeff Fisher team

so I wonder how many cheap shots and flagrant late hits out of bounds etc the refs are going to not notice
Pretty accurate

Niners disguise blitzed the hell out of Keenum in week 1 and the Rams got shut out.

Seahawks didn't blitz Keenum and lost.

A very silly comparison, but technically accurate. :)
