And a day for every hour for you body to adjust. My guess is the Giants stay on EST.
That is total nonsense. Different people react differently and it depends on how much rest you can get on the plane. I would imagine that a 767 charter with less than 100 onboard will make it reasonably "easy" to rest.

Exactly, I get very little jet lag flying coach, I cant imagine having any at all flying like they do.
or sleeping on the flight. The players will most likely be told to stay up until they would normally go to sleep tonight. If they're leaving soon they may stay up for the entire flight, then go to sleep as soon as they land and get to the hotel. Wake up around noon or 1p GMT, eat, practice, film, media, eat, get an hour or two free time, then bed. Wake up close to their regular clock on Saturday morning and repeat with a light walkthru, film, eat, media, etc.
Going west and playing is much easier than the opposite, imo because you're gaining time and that allows for some wiggle room when it comes to sleeping. Every time we flew out west and played, you just went to bed a little earlier with an in-room around 9 and lights out at 10.
And stay on ET? That's not really an option for 3 days.
I traveled to Sweden, Norway, Germany, Finland, Switzerland, and more to play hockey besides all over the US and Canada and you can get back on time within 24 hours.
People making an issue of this have either not traveled internationally or don't realize this isn't the Giants first trip to London.
yeah - it's really not that big of a deal. Anyone worrying about the logistics hasn't seen the lengths to which the support staff/travel coordinators plan these things. It's to the minute and unbelievably precise. The players will be just fine. It's a business trip.

Agreed - it's really not a big deal unless you think about it too much.
Why not play them at 7pm London time, which would be 1pm est? Not only would the Brits be getting a primetime game, but the players wont have to adjust their prep schedules and you wont lose ratings on the west coast for a 6:30am game.
The games are in the UK solely to improve the ratings in the UK/Europe. Remember, we do not have a true home team, so a large amount of the fans will travel from all parts of the country/continent
2.30pm kick offs are good for everyone across Europe so they can travel in and out on the same day.
7pm on a Sunday is horrible as the games last 2-3 hours, then it'll be 10pm on a Sunday before thinking about having to travel home before work the next day
5 hrs is not that bad, especially with two full days to be ready.

Virgin must be sponsoring this game in some fashion because the Rams also flew a Virgin 346 on Sunday.
