Not playing to the current NFL sucks meme...
Britt in VA : 10/20/2016 8:52 pm : link
but I truly keep forgetting that these games are even on until I log onto BBI or similar sites.
The Packers are essentially playing without a RB.
arcarsenal : 10/20/2016 8:57 pm : link
Jackson has zero experience. The Giants should be using Beckham out of the backfield more the way GB is using Montgomery. Not necessarily to hand him the ball but he's running routes from there and catching passes that way. McAdoo actually did it in 2014 a bit but really hasn't much at all since.

...Seems dead. Feels like a preseason game. Honestly all Thursday night games have felt like that this year. This season has no pop to it.

Matt Barkley is still in the league?
Good thing the jags play the titans

is a douche bag....what kind of tackle is that. A helmet to the elbow.
The Bears are an historic franchise
Overseer : 10/20/2016 9:34 pm : link
with so many great moments to speak of. They have got to move on from these embarrassing QBs (incl Cutler).

Also, I'm rooting for them tonight because it's likely Green Bay will be in contention for a WC.
Wow..
FatMan in Charlotte : 10/20/2016 9:39 pm : link
at least two bullshit PI calls tonight against Chicago
WTF was that bullshit DPI

It's bordering on absurd at this point.
Illegal contact needs to be removed
NYerInMA : 10/20/2016 10:02 pm : link
as a penalty. Holding and PI should be reserved for egregious fouls by DBs, but otherwise, let them play.
I guess we have Peyton and Bill Polian to thank for that?
Britt in VA : 10/20/2016 10:03 pm : link
They needed those rules to finally beat the Patriots.
I think we've gotten the Packers 4 times on national TV already
MetsAreBack : 10/20/2016 10:04 pm : link

It's simply incredible to me how many plays Cobb leaves on the field on a weekly basis. Of course, his one good game he did play against us.
Can't believe
Rflairr : 10/20/2016 10:06 pm : link
the Giants couldn't beat this shitty Packers team. Unreal
Elite QB's don't fumble the ball when they get hit!

Thursday Night Football

aside from Week 1 and Thanksgiving, also needs to go. I'd probably get rid of the London games too, just to simplify things and increase the quality of the product.
Did Phil Simms say Lincoln Floyd?
Overseer : 10/20/2016 10:16 pm : link
Maybe I misheard. In any case, helluva game from him so far.

I'd also eliminate four teams...no need for the Browns, Titans, Jaguars and at least one other team
Bears
Bluesbreaker : 10/20/2016 10:29 pm : link
got some pressure with Floyd but Rodgers again can bake
a cake back there much like he did with us.
Leonard Floyld looks like the real deal
Vanzetti : 10/20/2016 10:29 pm : link
I know he has been slowed by a calf injury but I have a feeling we are going to be cursing John Fox for many years to come.
That's one of the first plays..
FatMan in Charlotte : 10/20/2016 10:38 pm : link
Floyd has made all year. I think he also has a sack, but he's been banged up, inconsistent and pushed around at the LOS.

I had zero idea who was even playing until tonight.
This has been a good game
Sy'56 : 10/20/2016 10:47 pm : link
Very entertaining...especially considering Bears are ont heir #3 QB and the Packers don't have a RB.
I don't care what history says or the stats say
SHO'NUFF : 10/20/2016 11:14 pm : link
but Aaron Rodgers is the biggest stat padder ever.
Why isn't the Lambeau Leap a delay of game or unsportsmanlike penalty

Alshon Jeffrey with an impressive 2 catches, 22 yards

Trade him?

Brady, Brees, Ben, and many others do the same. And it's a tacky league with these rules like this.

I turned it off after I knew CHI had no chance because Barkley was playing QB. Bears D held on a while but they were on the field forever. GB receivers whine for flags every incomplete pass there is. Hard to watch.
Still trying to understand how Adams plays 4 days after a concussion
MetsAreBack : 10/20/2016 11:31 pm : link
they must have asked him if he was OK.. he said yes... and that was good enough for everybody.

ok then.

No - but a sloppy, penalty filled, talent deprived (whether due to injury or otherwise) contest is a bad game.

I didn't tune in for much, but what I did see looked like a glorified preseason game. Has nothing to do with an uneven contest or a gap between the teams, the execution was lacking all the way around.

This game had the Bears leading in the 3rd quarter. And it was a terrible game.

But you knew that.

Rodgers threw two nice passes to Cobb for two easy TDs. One, he just dropped the ball. The second, he didn't bother to get both feet down. Literally no RBs in the game, he still seemed to do alright.
50+ passes
KWALL2 : 10/21/2016 11:14 am : link
Me how many to Nelson? He isn't right.

Cobb looks slow too. Looks like he's running in mud in the open field.

Because everyone other celebration is. And the Lambeau Leap is often a "team" celebration and can certainly be considered "coordinated".

Granted, I don't think any celebrating in the endzone or on the sideline after TDs should be penalized. Taunting or running to midfield...absolutely.
what really needs to stop is all the "look at me I'm great"
Victor in CT : 10/21/2016 12:31 pm : link
bullshit after every tackle, 1st down, pass reception. Doing your job is no cause for celebration after every play

The Lambeau Leap has been grandfathered in.
