College Football Weekend

Looking forward to the games this weekend, though it seems this weekend is mostly "table-setting" for the final month of the regular season.

The headline game is Alabama v. Texas A& M but does anybody think that game will be competitive?

I am looking forward to heading to Annapolis! tomorrow for the AAC West showdown between the Mids and Memphis. It's going to be a very brisk, windy afternoon...with the running games these two have this could be one of those rare televised college games that comes in under 3 hours. If Navy can pull it off (slight 'dog), by virtue of wins over Houston and Memphis they will be in the driver's seat to win the division.

in Happy Valley. Night game, one week after a really tough game against Wisconsin, could be a tough one for Ohio State.

Penn State is not a bad team (not great either) and could give Ohio State a good run.

If the game were in College Station, A&M might have a chance to keep the game close, but in Bryant-Denny they're going to get blown the hell out.

How about West Virginia? If they can knock off TCU today they move to 6-0 and along with Baylor (off today) and Oklahoma will be part of a compelling 3 team race down the stretch for the Big 12 title.

'Bama has left a ton of points on the field. It could easily be 28-7, but A&M is hanging around. I expect 'Bama to right the ship in the second half, but you never know.

Huge win today. Control their own destiny for the AAC West.

Mids racked up almost 500 yards rushing today in their 42-28 win!

Great day in that little bayside town of Annapolis!!

Will Worth is turning into one of those feel good storylines of the season. He was on fire today. May even win player of the week.

Will Worth looks like Tim Tebow. I love his passing line today...3/4 for 80 something yards and 2 TDs. OC Jasper was dialing it up today. Incredibly well coached team and just such a bunch of tough, resilient kids. Love this team.

Well...he would look like Tim Tebow if Tebow could actually pass...:) Worth is actually a good passer. And while he doesn't have the speed of Reynolds or Smith, Worth runs with great determination and vision.

And the timely play action passes killed Houston and Memphis.

Tough game on Friday, at South Florida...but, they are a conference game ahead of Memphis and 2 games ahead of Houston after their stunning loss to SMU today.

Lots of fun.

You daughter is definitely experiencing the golden age of Mavy football. My class suffered through two one-win seasons. Just think about how bad that would feel as a mid forced to attend all home games...:(
