And given:
1 game vs Dallas left, 2 vs Philly, + Eagles with the tougher remaining schedule, Eagles will be easier to catch for the Giants even if they win next week.
I won't be watching though. Whatever happens, happens.
Dallas wins and it puts them just that much more out of reach, but brings Philly down in the WC race. Philly wins and the division tightens. In the end, a 1-1 split is probably the best scenario, if anything.
And Dallas OL and DP are injured, and Philly D front 7 are injured.
OK. Not really. Hate injuries.
Hoping Philly wins, then we beat Philly after the bye.
Although Dallas has the easier schedule I think, and Philly still has some quality teams to play, so Philly has some likely losses.
Let's go back to the tie scenario ;-).
OK, Philly to win, hope we then beat them!
Looking at the landscape of the NFC, it appears right now that there may be an opportunity for a WC team to emerge from the East. I don't think Arizona has "it" this year. Philly got some break this year schedule wise. Of the 4 toughest non division games on their schedule, 3 are at home in Pittsburgh, GB, and Minny (with Seattle being the other). At worst, they'll be 2-1. Those same 3 games for the NYG will likely result in an 0-3, all on the road.
All that being said, the next game the NYG play is enormous. It is an absolute must win. A loss could prove to be catastrophic. I'll tell you what tho, the confidence level among Philly fans regarding their prospects of winning in 2 weeks is off the charts. They expect a win and who could blame them based on the recent one sidedness of the rivalry of late.
Birds have owed us it seems except when we had Plax. And that was a kong while ago when we had hope. Every game was marked with an L, or a question mark, soon to become an L.
teams often go flat after big win - hope they beat the crap out of each other physically - I don't want the eagles coming off of a loss -But i fear after Eagles big win this week - next week they will go flat
need to run the table on the East I can see revenge vs the
Skins a sweep with Dallas . Philthy is a another story no
matter how bad they are perceived to be or how much better
we look on paper . They basically toss there helmets on
the field and were down 3 scores ...
We still play them twice and have a win in hand on Dallas. A Dallas loss keeps them both within striking distance and they both have tougher schedules form here on out

Exactly. And since this game is in Dallas, I guess you root for the Cowboys since a Dallas win makes a split slightly more likely. On second thought, the rematch is in Week 17, and the Eagles are more likely to have nothing to play for. So maybe you root for them to win this one and then hope the Giants and their tough schedule can knock them out before the rematch. On third thought, if the birds are dead in Week 17, we probably wind up rooting for them to win again on January 1st.
In other words, jogo1 is right: just enjoy seeing one of them lose, and root for injuries.

Beat the Birds. Need to right the ship.
