if the offense doesn't get some things figured out i think we may get steamrolled by the eagles. There is not a fucking chance in hell this o-line is going to slow down the eagles D and with the inabiltiy to run the ball i could see a very skittish eli in the pocket. Damn this offense is so frustrating. The eagles have had the giants # for what seems like forever now and i can see a real shitshow playing out in 2 weeks.
record is actually a lie. They are actually 6-0 with a pt differential of +1000. The Giants aren't 4-3 they are 0-7.
Back up the truck. It's over.
3 weeks ago, Matt Stafford drove the Lions down the field on them 3 straight (long) drives to start the games, each one ending with a TD pass.
There seems to be a big gap between their home and road performances.
New coaches, new QB. Time to reverse the trend. BLITZ WENTZ. Landon should be unleashed.
I'll be there and I'll be loud.

Pipe down dickhead. Nobody is saying back up the truck or that we have no shot. Not sure if you've noticed but the eagles have been kicking our ass for years now. Our offensive line play has been putrid for the most part. It's a game that could get real ugly if the line can't protect eli. Is this a theory that is hard for you to understand?
Why, it's an East Coast market? Both teams are not going to have any interest from the West Coast with a 4:00 game.
They're +68 in point differential. Their offense doesn't need to be great when they've allowed 88 points all season long.
Can't count on Berhe....he is one tackle away from being gone...
Thompson is the guy I want to see back...not only back, but able to stay on the field....
How freakin' long is Newhouse going to be out? How long is it taking Beatty to get in shape?
Need Jennings at full strength....
As for Eli, he is just missing too many throws this season....and he becomes very ordinary in the face of a good pass rush....if this OL can't protect him against the Eagles, if you thought this offense was bad, you ain't seen nuthin' yet....
9 weeks into the season and BOTH lines are playing bad........I thought this OL would be better, because they have played longer as a unit, and stopped the merry-go-round of players....it hasn't happened....the DL is just underwhelming thus far....
We have to avoid any more injuries, to have a chance...
Only saving grace is, the rest of the NFC is playing badly, too, giving us a shot at the wild card....but this team still has not shown that it can play with the big boys, yet...
Comes down to if our offense execute well enough to get the W.
At some point you get tired of expecting different results when it comes to the Eagles and always getting the same thing every time.

Bingo. Bye or not, until this OL shows it can block Graham, Cox, Darwin, Logan, etc, I see another offensive struggle. And, when was the last time our D dictated the play vs the Eagles? Until I see it to believe it, my expectations for the NYG vs the Eagles will always be pessimistic.

Yip, this team isn't good enough(yet)to go out and whip people. I also think our new coach is still learning how to manage the game and call plays at the same time.
The Giants are getting healthy on defense and can still make big plays on offense. It really is a matter of the offense getting some form of consistency. Lets see how things play out over the next month or so.
How long is it taking Beatty to get in shape?
He's ready according to the McAdoo and has been for a while. I think he's a backup and it's going to stay that way.
D id playin good. This offense needs better play
Calling and king and lewis 8n mix.
People are always complaining about facing an opponent on a short week, or after a bye, on the road, etc. The Giants are on the good side of it this time, so why can't they capitalize?
If it weren't the Eagles, I'm guessing McAdoo would consider letting Sullivan call the game.
Not giving up a special teams and defensive touchdown against the Eagles would be a really good start. They have scored 6 and 13 points on offense the last two games. The Redskins game was vintage Eagles. Get your butt kicked for most of the game yet manage to get a defensive and special teams score to stay in the game.
I thought this was kind of funny

Yes let's not worry about a team we have not beaten since since 2013 with Matt Barkley at QB, let's not worry about how bad our offense has been this year with a very good eagle defense coming to met life in two weeks giants will be fine all they have to do is show up , it's in the bag, nobody should be concerned beds yes we are 4-3

The Giants are 1-5 against the Eagles at met life, the one win was week 17 back in 2012 when the Eagles came into the game with a 4-11 record, big deal they are playing Dallas next week and the giants have a bye, until the Giants play better against the Eagles I won't feel confident against them.
Like loss of limbs-type injuries. :-)
And how many eagle fans predicted an Eagles super bowl win over the past 50 seasons?

I think we should shit our pants for the next two weeks because of the big bad eagles. We have no shot at all. None. The Eagles are so good their 4-2

No you pipe down. Yes, you're theory is hard for me to understand. Deal with it. You're predicting a shit show. I disagree.
That's why WASH ran threw them. They are good, but can be undisciplined. And they thrive on teams with weak OL and QB tandems.
Not taking anything from MINN, but they have OL issues, an immobile QB, and really no down field playmakers. That's made for a 5-0 record but they were surely due to go off the tracks for a bit. And a perfect matchup for Philly yesterday, esp being on the road.
Our issue versus them is we can never block them, particularly in Philly. Being home will be an advantage.
As far as everyone predicting a loss, you never know how an NFL game is going to go. Turnovers, returns.....there are a host of factors.
I would rate the two teams about even overall.

I would add that the Eagles play the Cowboys in Dallas, on Sunday night. The schedule is very much in the Giants' favor.
Maybe Philly will keep rolling, but there's also a decent chance that the Viking game or Steeler game will turn out to have been their high-water mark. Their best player (Cox) is gutting it out on a bad ankle, and their rookie QB has finally started looking like a rookie QB. I dislike the matchup of our OL against their front seven as much as anyone, but let's give the retooled staff a chance to work some magic during the bye.

The Giants get the eagles at home after a bye after the eagles just faced the Cowboys. The Giants should be in a good spot from a health perspective. If Thompson is back, I really like our defense vs their offense. Even though the offense is shitty, we should win if the Giants play a clean game.

Exactly. Yes, the offense has looked like shit. Yes, the coaching has been spotty. But we looked pretty good in Dallas opening day when we were healthy and prepared.
The Giants should be healthy and the staff has two weeks to prepare for philly. I'm sure they're aware of the magnitude of this game. If the Giants don't turn the ball over (big if so far) I like our chances at home.
