with no running game, and Eli has only thrown 8 td passes?
We have only beaten one team with a winning record....by one second....
Yes, the defense has been a big improvement, points wise.....the turnovers are starting to happen for the defense....but they have this bad habit of letting teams make long drives at the end of games...fortunately, the other teams have shot themselves in the foot, at the end of those drives....
But this offense, has to be much better than 22nd in scoring, if it wants to make the playoffs....
Between McAdoo's predictable play calling and our talent limitations on the offensive line and run blocking from support positions like TE and RB I'm not sure how we get that done.
This was always going to be a two year rebuild given the number of positions needing upgrades going into this campaign. There was a built in ceiling for 2016.
Beat a strange Philly team and the playoffs are a good bet.
Cowboys need to come back to earth . I think the defense is
playing a bit over there heads hopefully someone knocks them
off .There schedule is pretty easy the rest of the way .
Seattle @3.5
TB@ 3.3
NO @ 3.2
Jacks @ 3.3
Minn @ 2.5
stats must lie...

I agree with this for the most part, although I think given where this offense was last year and the addition of cruz+shepard, they should be able to be MUCH more effective this year. This team could be good if the offense gets their head out of their asses.

Have to be better after the bye though if we want to play in the post season. Attrition will set in in the form of fatigue and further injuries on defense if we can't improve our time of possession with the ball.

Plus the OL should have been better this year compared to last, even without any additions in the off season... player growth and familiarity should have made the OL slightly better. I dont see it.

The O-line has actually gotten worse. Players like Richburg and Pugh regressing. Then add in Flowers and Jerry....
Our O-line draft picks are not playing up to what their draft position would suggest their performance should be.
It's amazing that we'really 4-3, it really is. I didn't even talk about offensive turnovers and they too contribute tof the disparity in TOP.
Any one of these and we are a playoff team.
Any two these and we make hay...

richburg and flowers I'll give you but jerry has improved and Pugh is the number one rated guard in the league
At the half McAdoo was asked about failures in the running game and his response was, we need more attempts, or something to that affect. So basically the running game has been horrible for years, has sucked all year, is not working, and his answer is to do MORE of it???
This guy is more stubborn than TC, and clueless on top.
Miserable, spoiled rotten bitches around here. Never, ever happy. Ever

They've only beaten one team with a winning record? Seriously? You do realize that if it wasn't for them beating the Rams and Ravens, both those teams would be over .500, right?
Where I come from, a .500 team is not a winning team....if you eliminate the Giant games , they are just .500 teams...so yes, they have only beat one team with a winning record, thus far...

Do we have a winning team? Yes....Do we think they should be better ? Yes....but this team does not have a winning attitude yet...until we see it, they will just be one of the middle of the road teams in the NFL.....one of the big complaints of TC teams was, the Giants play down to the level of their opponents...they still do....they don't put teams away.....they don't go for the jugular.....they don't have that killer instinct....until they do, they are a team without confidence and direction....
"We have only beaten one team with a winning record....by one second...."
Our other 3 wins have come against shitty teams. Teams shittier than the NYG. So those 3 wins, plus the one you refer to, equals 4 wins. That is how we are 4-3.

Ummm, no, because if the Giants didn't beat the Ravens and Rams, that would mean that the Ravens and Rams won, correct? That would put both of those records at 4-3. Both above .500. The Giants have something to say for those teams being below .500. But that doesn't fit the narrative, right?
Dallas would be undefeated in 1st place.
Washington is iffy at 3-3
Minnesota is 4-1 in first
Green bay is 3-2 in second place due to one less loss.
New Orleans is basically still in 3rd (2-3)
LA Rams are in the same spot(3-3), but 1 half game back of second place due to the tie.
Baltimore is 3-3 a game back of first.
Looks like the Giants had a tough schedule. The only team with a losing record is NO.
