Two things to think about. You want to get one that will hold your weight. You want to gradually increase the angle of inversion and don't stay there too long.
I think at some point I'm probably going to get one and try it
I don't have serious enough back issues to say if it could remedy anything, but it feels good on my spine so I like it for that alone. I feel the stretch way more near my lower back and just above the pelvis then higher up on the spine.
One thing: the things are huge so best for a house with a basement. I have an apartment and have to keep it folded up under my bed when not in use, which is a pain.
Lastly, I've been unable to get my girlfriend to give me a blowjob while I'm upside down. She said that's "fucking weird" and "God you're a freak". Oh well...

If you work at a computer all day like I do, I feel slouched all the time. A couple minutes on the inversion table and it stretches my hips and spine where I literally feel taller and looser after getting off. You don't even have to flip completely. The biggest negative is it takes up a decent amount of space so it was in our basement and like many exercise equipment goes unused for a while. Had it in bedroom but it just took up too much space.
in any of the fitness and health regimen plans, anyone advocating for handstand holds for health reasons. Skill development and shoulder strength, sure; but not as a cure for anything.

I too see no one in this thread talking about handstand holds.

My back problems are from the middle of my back ad up and all I have read is that it beneficial for lower backs.
Also I really don't want ti add more clutter two the house,

Teeter lets you try it for $15 bucks. I'm thinking about it but don't want to spend $300 bucks on it (3 easy installments of $99).
Looked on CL and saw some for $175, which isn't as bad.

If you go 3/4 or completely upside down and put your hands over your head you get a pretty good stretch on your neck and between your shoulder blades.
Don't use one if you have high blood pressure or glaucoma, as the pressure of the blood to your head could be dangerous.
I've been doing this for 15 minutes a day for 35 years.
Make sure your BP is good before you try it. I do it to decompress my spine after lifting.
