Per multiple sources, 49ers and Eagles have been discussing a trade for WR Torrey Smith. Deal is not currently imminent.
That's awesome..

You lay wide receiver with QB's named Kappernick and Gabbert and you will stink too

Guy was very good with the Ravens, is always a home run threat and gives the Eagkes something they really need. They already have possession guys.
I actually think the Giants should make a play for Smith

We are in need of a receiver opposite OBJ that has the threat to take the top off of the defense. It would seriously help out OBJ and the entire offense. All depends on the asking price.

He would disappear on Seattle too, the way Jimmy Graham has.

Bigger issue in SF is he arrived a year too late. Would have been used a lot in 2014 with all the possession guys they had.

As a #1 primary receiver he was/is not even as good as Boldin or Crabtree.

He's meant to be an "X" with other established WRs on the squad.

Primarily a deep threat guy and the Eagles have barely thrown deep this year. Strange move. They do, in fact, have speed guys. I have seen people write they don't have them--who are Huff and their 2015 1st rd pick Agholor? Both speed guys.

um yea 5 years ago...the guy is toast
It's not like anyone is claiming he is a monster
VenteSette : 10/25/2016 9:42 am : link
but the guy still has value. He got 11 TDs the last season he had an actual QB (2014) and averaged 20 ypc last year. He's still a HR threat. I doubt they are going to give up much for him. This is Chip Kelly and Tom Gamble. They are thinking "outside the box" Outside the box = dumping plenty of valuable players. It's not like they didn't get rid of some guys that can play in Philly.

I wouldn't say Jimmy Graham has disappeared in Seattle. He is just appearing now. He had over 100 in 2 of the last 4 and is on a pace for over 1000 even though he basically DNP game 1 and camp.

He was a 1,000 yd WR three years ago and scored 11 TD's two years ago. So.. no, not 5 years ago.

Graham's SEA problem has been injuries. He's finally healthy and has 23 catches in his last 4 games (ie a 92 catch pace).
