I've been re-setting the magnification to around 90% for most pages to make them look normal. Weird.
Whenever random words are capitalized

for some reason mine got switched to 125 yesterday and had to set it back to normal (100).
I had to add this tag to my shortcut's "target" field
NYerInMA : 10/25/2016 6:29 pm : link
--high-dpi-support=1 --force-device-scale-factor=1

Once I added this, the resolution went back to normal.
You probably hit ctrl and the + sign at the same time

Or apple key and the + sign.

Web browsers don't randomly change font sizes for the millions of people who use them, especially without some widely rolled out update.

No problem! I was frustrated with this change as well and had to do some deep digging on the Chrome forums to find this fix, so I'm happy to share.
I was wrong
