David - no cruel intentions with this post but have to call you out on this one...we had a lengthy discussion prior to the draft about Elliott. I was mostly blasted for calling him the best player in the draft, saying he was on par with Gurley (I actually thought he was better overall than Gurley). Most disagreed, and you even said you'd rather have Rawls than Elliott.....
Anyway - it's an interesting discussion pre draft. I sort of got your point with Rawls (he's played in the NFL, Elliott hadn't) but if you used that logic with every player, we'd have to take every other NFL player other than a draft prospect - and there's a reason why scouting exists.. Yes, Elliott is playing behind a great OL, but his vision and burst through the hole are scary good. I liked our Apple pick and think he's going to be awesome. But I somewhat wish Dallas had passed and Elliott had slipped to 10...it would have made for an interesting choice.
Congratulations you stud!!!!
Congratulations you stud!!!!
I hate when people post crap like this, Randy (your post).
If you get into a lengthy debate about something and are proven correct, I totally get wanting to beat your chest a little bit. Let the man have his moment.
As for the topic at hand, I think most were on board with Elliot being the clear cut #1 RB in the draft and a game changer, the question was rather his draft slot and how impactful RB's can be had throughout the draft. I would have been on board with Elliot on the Giants, but he'd probably be struggling a lot right now, so what's the point?
Congratulations you stud!!!!
Fucking relax man. I'm not claiming anything. Elliott was talked about for weeks on end here - just wanted to open it back up because I was absolutely blasted for it.

Thank you. David and I pretty much agree on 99% of other topics discussed on here.

Well, if posting "every scenario" is me doing it ONCE in my time on this board, then sure.
And no, that isn't true about Elliott. Many, I'd say almost half, absolutely hated Elliott, saying he had trouble written all over him, whether it was play or off the field attitude etc. So...no. That statement isn't true.
Good point...Gurley behind Dallas OL would be a sight to see. I do think Elliott's vision gives him the slight advantage, however.
Reason why is Jalen Ramsey is also having a great year, and Cowboys are still thin on the defensive side. Yes, they've played well, surprisingly well, but they will get exposed soon. The've played a fairly weak schedule so far, after losing to the Giants, their 5 wins have come against:
@Wash, Chicago, @49ers, Cinci, @Green Bay, which of course has been their most impressive victory by far.
That aside, going back to Elliott, I still like Derrick Henry a lot and think he'll have a tremendous career. 2nd rounder. Devontae Booker has been explosive and tremendous for the Broncos. 4th rounder. Jordan Howard has had some good games as a rookie - 5th rounder.
And of course, there are other talented rookie running backs that are waiting for their opportunities that didn't cost the #4 overall pick.
The main argument for me against Elliott that high is that the shelf life of RB's is pretty low. Everything is great for the Cowboys right now but let's see in 2 or 3 years from now if the #4 overall pick was still the right investment. Early returns would suggest he's the next all-time great Cowboys RB. But I'm still happy they drafted him rather than Jalen Ramsey, or even DeForest Buckner, however. But I think right now the Cowboys are elated with their pick, and they should be.
What I'm really upset about it that they picked Dak Prescott rather than a Cardale Jones, or a Jeff Driskel. Dak certainly has been, to this point, the steal of the entire draft.
I was more or less referring to starting an actual call out thread to one specific person. But sure, if you want to count the Brown thing go ahead
Thanks - guess you'll have to say that to every other thread that isn't to your liking.
Plenty of posters have selective memory of what they want to discuss, what's important, etc. It never ends.

Don't worry. He does...
No he wouldn't.
If radar thinks it's an awful thread, then that means it's a good one!
I just ignore him now and the discussion is infinitely better that way.

To be quite frank, you're a total douchebag, so there's that. I find discussions are better without you as well. You're only redeeming quality here is that you occasionally get fed some scoops. YOu're the Peter King of BBI. Congrats?
But Darren McFadden ran for 1,100 yards, 3rd most in the league, behind that line despite not being their starter the first 6 weeks of the season.
Two years ago, Demarco Murray ran for 1,850 yards... almost 1900 yards, 500 more than anyone else in the NFL... behind that offensive line.
And Dak's mobility only makes their run game all that much more lethal for defenses.
People give Dallas' OL a lot of credit... and they should give it more than they do.
PS. Tunsil is starting to dominate down here in Miami. Just saying. Ajayi doesnt have back to back 200 yard games, and against good defenses, without Pouncey and Tunsil beasting lately.
At least it's later than Tunsil being labeled a bust in August.

I see David in LA has a lot of friends here

This is coming from the guy that's more bothered by Annie Apple's comments on domestic violence than the actual domestic violence offense. I'm pretty ok with the people that dislike me here, I wear that badge with honor. I'd rather not associate myself with your company.
I'm not on every thread, but Carl has established himself as another piece of shit. Please, your sarcasm on that Annie Apple thread was obvious. Quit being a dishonest shmuck. You're not clever. At all.
David can take it, the post and the discussion was all in good fun.
RE: Elliot, I want to think it's the line, and I am sure it's helpful, but on the second level that boy can move, hit, and get home.

Larry Donnell should take notes from Zeke on how to hurdle a defender without fumbling and falling on his neck.
Thanks Route. Besides the fact that this post a) isn't funny and b) doesn't make any sense - as I said before me and David have had some good natured discussions at length before and we will have them again. This one particular with Elliott got a little testy so I felt the need to re visit it. Youre probably one of the guys that called the season after the first quarter last week. Keep the low education posts coming.

Which mask has Tunsil been wearing? 😜
You never know with a rookie if he's going to pick up the speed, play book, assignments etc. That comes in time with teaching, but you can't teach fast and instincts.
I was dead wrong about Elliott. He's a complete back halfway through his rookie year.
they would take Bosa either way both seem to be great picks .
Its amazing they win 12 games then tank the season with
12 losses and end up with the 4th pick .
Now there 5-1 and looking like geniuses and haven't used
Romo . Who IMO should start if he is healthy .
he would fall that far .
is a beast in the run game ....
Time will tell .....but worth watching
I like Apple but he has yet to impact this team .
Hi loser! Still making friends?!
