Hanging slider down and in. Miller was gassed

Schwarber has a huge platoon split. Doesn't hit lefties much
brutal for the Cubs

when the Tribe's # 9 hitter puts up this line:

4-2-2-4, with 2 jacks.

Roberto Perez....go figure, huh

Better get his act together for the rest of the Series.

Out of 184 American League hitters with at least 180 at bats, Roberto Perez ranked 181st in slugging percentage.

You know Susan, you just can't predict baseball.
Glad to see CLE

win. I think MLB would lose something very special if the Cubs won the world series even if diehard Cubs fans deserve one.

Should be a good series. I think the CHI lineup is going to rake on CLE starting pitching not named Kluber.

If the Indians win

Cashman should get a World Series ring. Miller has been an absolute animal for them. I happen to really like the way Francona uses him also. He is their best reliever by far, so he comes in when Francona thinks it's critical, not just for save situations. It is more of an old school (70s) approach to closers (i.e. Gossage, Sutter, Fingers, Lyle, etc.) and I like it.

That's a logical thought. On the other hand, Cleveland starters have already shut down two excellent offenses. Can they keep it up? We'll see.
Love seeing Jon Lager, er, Lester get beat. Whiny fuck.

Home Field adv in baseball is meaningless. Home team wins 55% of games. Didn't help the Red Sox in the Bucky Dent game, did it?

As verducci pointed out yesterday, winning Game 1 is the key advantage.
