NFT: Anthony Davis Stat line last night

Stu11 : 10/27/2016 12:53 pm
Dan and the other BBI basketball aficionados surely could answer this better but I defy you to find a better stat line than he had last night:
50 pts
16 reb
5 ast
7 steals!
4 blocks
Lebron has had some whoppers, but that might be the best stats line in the last 30-40 years. Please get this guy out of NO or surround him with some talent.

March 18, 1968 - Philadelphia 76ers vs. Los Angeles Lakers - Wilt Chamberlain - 53 points, 32 rebounds, 14 assists (unofficially has 24 blocks, 11 steals)
scored 50 pts on only 34 shots too

(and 16-17 from FT). Rest of the team shot 36% from the field.
And lost!

Couldn't believe what I was reading when that alert came up on my phone just as I was going to bed last night. I bet he was thinking 'WTF else do I have to do?!'.

Bill Russell had 30 points and 40 rebounds leading his team to a title.

I expect Davis to request a trade. Criminal job of putting some talent around him, starting with trades of #1s.

End of bench during time out with a look like wtf are these scrubs doing around me.
Carmelo Anthony:

Only player in NBA history with at least 42 points, 17 rebounds, and 6 assists in a playoff game.
There is no trade imaginable

New Orleans would accept for Davis unless it included one of Westbrook, Curry, LeBron or Durant.
No wonder he retried from the 49ers

and didn't come play RT for the Giants. The man is a stud at Basket Ball.

AD's free throw efficiency was great last night and a great way to rack up points, and so I'm glad you mentioned it.

But it always frustrated me when people would say that a player scored X points on only Y shots without including FT performance.

I appreciate the focus on efficiency but trips to the FT line most often reflect a team's entire possession and the other team will get the ball after the FT attempts.
yea I didn't have time to look it up

I figured the likes of Wilt/Russell and Oscar Robertson would have some ridiculous stat lines thats why I said like 40 years or so. I'd like to see Magic Johnson's full line from game 6 in the '80 finals where he had to play center for an injured Kareem and went for 42-15-7 but all the box score has is the points scored.

29 points, 18 rebounds, 10 assists, 11 blocks, and 5 steals Probably the closest anyone has ever come to a quintuple double.

David Robinson 34 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 blocks, 2 steals

Michael Jordan 69 points, 18 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals, and 1 block

50 points

And a costly turnover at the end of the game. Stats aren't everything.
