I was flicking through the channels today, saw Day the Earth Stood Still, and it made me think of him.....I don't recall any posts by him in awhile......I know I haven't been slammed by him in awhile, though others have picked up the torch.....just wondering....
Apparently, as they were transferring me from the ambulance gurney to the emergency room bed, my heart started to go haywire. I heard someone say, "Clear!" In my head, I was thinking Hey, that's what they used to say on Emergency, and then WHAM! I think I bounced three feet off the bed. What a rush.
Hey, Rob. Most of the changes have to do with my diet...more related to the diabetes than the heart attack. I was actually released from the hospital a couple of days earlier than they initially figured. So now I'm almost 30 pounds lighter than I was a month ago, and this morning my sugar was 130 (and that was after a little cheating - just a little - on Thanksgiving).
After my dad's heart attack(15+ years ago) he went into a depression for a little while and was afraid to do things. His Dr put him in a support group with other heart attack patients and hearing their stories helped him mentally. He only went to a few meetings but it helped. Hoping the best for you.
So, as you can imagine, I've been going through quite a few lifestyle changes since then. Haven't really felt much like talking, let alone arguing with the usual suspects. I still lurk, though.
You and I have butted heads on here before. That said I hope you are ok and are recovering nicely. Happy holidays
and hoping this was a wake up call that will improve your life!

Sorry man. Hope things have calmed down and your feeling better. Good luck and look forward to showing up on the site more often...
And seriously...do not watch the Giants games for a while; at most check in periodically, but even better catch scores about 3&1/2 hours after KO. I was 8 when I first became a fan in 1956, and now per my Doc I have the body of a 104 year old; at least 50% of the wear and tear was due to the Giants.
Yeah, it's me. Feel better.

Sorry to hear that and hope you're feeling better.
River Mike, now I have to get you hooked on UFO.
ROK, you crazy bastard. This is no time for hot Asian chicks. Wait until I'm through with Cardiac Rehab.
B in ALB. For 39 years I was indestructible. Then I hit 40 and it was like I was off warranty. Such is life.
Anyone I haven't mentioned, well, there just aren't enough words, but all of your good wishes are greatly appreciated.
I always look forward to your posts.
Peace.
Big Uglies, baby, early and often. Big WR, and a big RB, too, and an OLB with speed.
Just here to echo the good advice, take your new lifestyle to heart and make it a crusade to be the best at it you can be, and creative to boot. It's clear that many, many here are rooting for you big time and will welcome you back on your own terms and time. And God bless your coming through this.
As others have mentioned, maybe you should tape the Giant game instead of watching the game live? My freakin' blood pressure goes off the charts sometimes......
As for your sugar condition, that is something you want to control with diet and not medication.....hope you recover quickly....
PS.....I just went and changed my underwear....you never know....
