who does a lot with a little. Pedestrian talent all over that offense (Kelce I suppose excepted), esp the noodle armed QB.
I would have taken him as the NYG head coach post-Coughlin in a second. Some in game decision head scratchers, but who not named Belichick doesn't have their share...

A very consistent coach who has some major game management flaws, who has been fortunate enough to have two very talented defenses coached by two very good defensive coordinators during his time in Philly and KC.
Sounds kind of like the guy the Giants have now. ;-)
I'm aware. And nice defensive battle we're watching today. Houston a beast.
That's not an easy offense to win with though, and we probably never see full strength Charles again (if at all). Yet Reid manages continual winning seasons. And with Oakland's ascendance, the AFC West is prob the toughest division in football.
And Gabriel in Atl are 2 guys playing at a different speed. 2 of the most exciting players in the league. Did you see Gabriel today? He runs past everybody.

They are almost hard to even touch for NFL defenders, let alone tackle.

Sy and Kwall, that CB Jackson from USC yesterday had the same breakaway speed, looked like Odell on that punt return.

They have a top 5 TE, an outstanding stable of RBs, 2/3 O linemen I would love to have, maybe the most dynamic offensive rookie in the league. Not to mention Maclin.
Outstanding RBs? You know Charles is IR’d, right? Spencer Ware and West hardly qualify as “outstanding”. Hill is awesome though, wow. I hadn’t seen much of him this season.
But the most important position on the field is garbage. Smith sucks. His arm is terrible (a huge reason the Giants went to the Super Bowl in '11) and he can’t scramble anymore. Winning consistently with him is on its own impressive.
The entire offensive game plan is planned to compensate for his (many) weaknesses and exploit those of the opposing D. Reid is excellent at this, which Coughlin got to know very well. He’s a great coach.
It's not a terrible offense by any means, just pedestrian without Charles and now especially with Maclin injured.
We all talk about how 'great' Kelce is - I think he has 4 touchdowns and on pace for maybe 850 yards this season. Maclin and hill both massively underfed too.
The are never going deep with Alex smith at qb there so what's the point. There are 26 starters in the league who id take over smith and actually Foles looked better for them when smith went down in Indy last month.
Decided to put the flags away on that last drive. On the big first down out of the end zone, there was holding and Darby pushed off like crazy. There was legit three plays in a row with Houston, 95 or 99 being held by a Denver OL.

Maclin hasn't played in a month. guy unfortunately can't stay healthy.
KC hasn't had a true # 1 other than the year or 2 when Bowe was halfway decent.
ruled him down by contact at the one couldn't see the ball, and assumed the receiver had control when his knee came down. That's why it wasn't ruled a TD on the field.
head here, if you are ahead by one point, the other team is out of timeouts and you have a clear path to the end zone, fall the fuck down, Denver could have run the clock down to next to nothing and left KC with no chance, I can't beleive that professional teams don't consider these things, unless your name is Brian Westbrook that is
At least, Reid's QB should know the OT rules this time Â

Yep, you're right. That WR should have just fell on his ass, then you run 3 times, punt and leave KC 20 seconds or so?

I think less than a minute to go down the field and score the winning TD.
Denver's TD happened with 3:00 left. Let's assume the WR kneels at the one yard line, in bounds. Their first down play would happen at roughly 2:20. 2nd down play at 2:00. 3rd down play at 1:20. Kick the FG on 4th down with 40 seconds left. KC would need to take it down the field and score with no timeouts.
big loss for them. Unlikely they win the division, so they need that 2nd wild card (assuming this game gets KC the first). Miami coming on strong and you know Pitt will be in it as well. I'm rooting for them b/c I want to watch Von in the playoffs and I think they're best suited to take down New England.
Remaining schedule:
Jags
Titans
Pats
Chiefs
Raiders

Great game. Kubiak a f'ing moron to try from 62. Just don't know what he was thinking.
This has been a really entertaining NFL season so far IMO. Lots of craziness.
Still a lot of teams in it for the wildcard, and depending how the AFC West shakes out, you could have DEN and KC as wildcard favorites on the road against the AFC North and South winners respectively.

Their defensive personnel is top 5 in the league.

Guess the speed really helped when considering the character issues. It almost always does.
T. Hill fell in the draft due to DV
He's up to 11.5 sacks on the season. Still DPOY front runner.

Your argument isnt exactly "strong."

If he continues to play well and the Broncos stay healthy, I don't see how they don't return to the SB.

Guess I'll be tired going to work tomorrow cause I'm finishing this for sure.
And they're taking a knee? That's odd.
Nah, because the chance that they gave up both a TD and a 2PAT was probably less than the chance they made the 2PAT themselves.
Yep, you're right. That WR should have just fell on his ass, then you run 3 times, punt and leave KC 20 seconds or so?
a high percentage of players likely don't know
