So far, this has been my ideal season

- The Giants have a good record and a strong chance at making the playoffs.

- They have a Defense that can be dominate at times (and seems to get better as the season goes on)

- They are winning close games.

- They are considered a fraud nationally and will not be picked by many to win any playoff games.

- Dallas is leading the division and are media darlings.

- They seem to be a close and motivated locker room.

I'm sure most would rather have a dominate season, this is exactly the season I hope far every year. I loved our last two Superbowl runs when we were constantly overlooked then shocked the world. (especially Cowboy and Patriot fans) Complain all you want about our flaws - I'm just enjoying the ride.

I want a 2008, where the Giants just imposed their will on people. I didn't start paying attention to football until 1987, and being 12 at the time, wasn't old enough to really appreciate the 1990 team.

smacking down New England is satisfying, but Smacking down "America's (presumptive) team, (America includes Mexico and Canada, and South America by last count), is perhaps the ultimate smackdown, so let's hope for a more ideal season.
