All I needed was 5 stinking points from him and I would have clinched the 1 seed. Now I may have to face the new points leader who is beasting with Bell, Brown and Evans. Vinatieri and Cooks getting goose eggs cost me an easy win.
Somebody cut Demaryius this week, so I picked him up. Now I am starting Gordon and Martin at RB and will probably go Hopkins and Cooks at WR. For my flex I have Demaryius, Ingram (smart move keeping his 30 points on the bench with the concussion last week, duh!) or Watkins.
I also have Stewart and Moncrief, but for some reason I am resisting starting him despite the matchup with the Jets.
Who should I flex? Right now I am leaning kind of heavily for Thomas, but the Jags have played WR pretty tough.

LOL, it's 10 teams and pretty competitive.
I'm 9-3.. there are two 8-4's, two 7-5's and two 6-6's below me. Only 3 teams are out of contention. There are 4 teams within 100 pts of me for the year and I was 0.34 away from losing 3 straight weeks.
I probably have the best roster out of the 10 teams (though a few are close).. but it looks that way because:
A) I had a very good draft
and
B) I got out ahead on guys like Rawls and Watkins so that I'd have them now
as Maclin is practicing today. If Maclin plays he becomes #3 option on a team that doesnt throw much (granted ATL should be a somewhat high scoring game)

I have not done well this year with players going up against the Tampa defense. Kap is the hot QB in fantasy the last few weeks, Rivers is my guy so its a huge gamble to me. You know the rule, always play your studs. Last time I benched Rivers he scored 14 points which sucked but was better than the guy I started.

Yuck! IIRC, Green only had like 15 snaps, but he got most of the receiving work. There is some hope for real upside with him. James hasn't gotten much the past two weeks. Doyle is splitting time and getting less looks than Allen. Walford had a TD last weekend, but hasn't had much volume since like week 2.
Brate and Fedorowicz aren't available? Not that they are much better... but Fiedorowicz is playing the crappy Pack and has been getting a lot of volume from that crappy QB that is holding Hopkins back.
my starter is on bye, my backup plan was Zac Miller who got hurt. The Jets front seven will get pressure on the QB, I wondered if Indy will keep the TE in to block. Than there is Allen also. So I gambled and picked up the 49ers McDonald off waivers and I am starting him for one week. If I had Pitta I probably would have gambled on him. Bad time to need a TE.

I was being facetious in part. I realize why which I explained, but long term it makes no sense. I actually disagree on the injury. I'm not a doctor but if he requires another surgery that just weakens his foot even more and could have long term implications (one could argue those implications are already happening).
As far as fantasy goes, most Watkins owners got him for nothing as a FA so I can't really sympathize with you guys, no offense. I sympathize more with those who drafted him high and got burned. He's a player I will always avoid in fantasy just like I do with Jamaal Charles.

Lots of people dumped him when he got hurt and Gates started going off, but he got more targets than Gates last week and I think that he may be back on the upswing. Bucs D is kind of porous, so might be worth a thought.

We have 4 IR slots. I never understood leagues that forced you to cut badly injured players.

I'd go Ertz. Thomas is likely to miss this week's game and Fiedorowicz has a shoulder injury as well that might limit him.
Brees is my QB. My main decision is M. Thomas over Dez as well as if Luck is playing to start TY or not.

Booker gets the bellcow of reps, however he hasnt really produced. I think rhodes shadows Dez and limits him. And the Jags offense is so bad, that they will force the ball to ARob, despite Talib following him.
they always force the ball to A-rob in JAX. and he drops it or it's a bad pass. Bortles (and to a similar extent A-rob) has to be among the leagues biggest disappointments this year.
for fantasy this year, but I nailed the Bortles one. He was a very poor QB last year, but garbage time TDs led to respectable lines and good for fantasy. What you are seeing this year is a better defense keeping games close, not giving Bortles as many garbage time TDs (of course I went up against him when he did damage down 30 to the titans on a TNF).

That's my only hesitation. New Orleans scored 49 points last week and Cooks had 0 catches on 0 targets.

Now, seeing how much the Cowboys run vs throw that has to be factored into your decision making next year.

The problem with Dez is targets. He doesnt get as many as the top 5-7 in the league.
While that's true, he still is probably the best red zone threat in the entire league and scores TDs in more than half his games throughout his career. Also he averages a lot of yards per catch. Sure, he's probably not a top 3 fantasy WR he is with romo but I still find it hard to pick 10 WRs I'd rather have right now in fantasy, maybe even 5.
Deandre Hopkins, Allen Robinson, Fitzgerald and sanders are all top 10 in targets right now and I'd say that hasn't really worked all that well for them the way youd assume.

I agree with this. I steered clear of him when drafting. But after his hairline fracture I bought him low with Russel Wilson, sims and Tyrelle williams.

I do think Marvin is going to see an uptick in production in December.. he saw 11 targets on Thanksgiving but he's still sort of hard to trust. He's had a lot of very crappy games since his blazing start.
Snead is no great shakes but he has a pretty high floor in that offense. Even without being a primary option he usually sees 7-8 targets a week and is good for about 5 catches.
I just worry about playing Marvin and getting a total egg. He's been really underwhelming in like 5 of their last 6 games.

So you held him this whole time taking up a bench spot or did you use an IR spot? if he held you hostage all year that definitely sucks, I just assumed you picked him up the last week or two.

We have 4 IR slots. I never understood leagues that forced you to cut badly injured players.

The Ebron bullshit came out of nowhere last week (had him too). I have to think he bounces back in a shootout in New Orleans sunday.

I kind of like Thomas or Fiedorowicz there
I'd go Ertz. Thomas is likely to miss this week's game and Fiedorowicz has a shoulder injury as well that might limit him.

Booker gets the bellcow of reps, however he hasnt really produced. I think rhodes shadows Dez and limits him. And the Jags offense is so bad, that they will force the ball to ARob, despite Talib following him.
they always force the ball to A-rob in JAX. and he drops it or it's a bad pass. Bortles (and to a similar extent A-rob) has to be among the leagues biggest disappointments this year.
MT has been on fire and will be part of a 41-38 game.
No brianer IMO. (of course i have Snead... who will have 4 catches for 40 yards again as a distant #4 in their passing game.. mayeb he'll throw for one again at least to give me decent scoring)

That's my only hesitation. New Orleans scored 49 points last week and Cooks had 0 catches on 0 targets.
Can easily be Thomas this week with the options that offense has.
I think Thomas emerging as a Brees go-to-guy, but who knows there.
I agreed on this one when prepping for the draft, just didn't see how a QB that bad would duplicate his production. His play is mind boggling.

I'd go forte. First choice is harder for sure, philly has terrible corners but that D line against cincy's o line is gonna be a brutal beat down. It's a toss up IMO.

Agree. We drafted early and when I drafted him Romo was still the QB. Prescott threw 18 passes last night.
Even with Bryant who had 33% of his targets, it was just 6 targets.

I have had Dez on my fantasy team but will usually opt for another option while drafting IF there was a comparable player available. Simply because my perception is that Dez gets hurt too often.
Now, seeing how much the Cowboys run vs throw that has to be factored into your decision making next year.

While that's true, he still is probably the best red zone threat in the entire league and scores TDs in more than half his games throughout his career. Also he averages a lot of yards per catch. Sure, he's probably not a top 3 fantasy WR he is with romo but I still find it hard to pick 10 WRs I'd rather have right now in fantasy, maybe even 5.
Deandre Hopkins, Allen Robinson, Fitzgerald and sanders are all top 10 in targets right now and I'd say that hasn't really worked all that well for them the way youd assume.

I agree with this. I steered clear of him when drafting. But after his hairline fracture I bought him low with Russel Wilson, sims and Tyrelle williams.
I actually probably got ripped off with that one considering Tyrelle has been very solid but heading into the playoffs I feel pretty good about that trade.

The thing is I don't know if I should be worried about Carr's pinkie. Buffalo's defense isn't too shabby either although I don't really know how the pass defense is.
It's only been 2 weeks but I feel like Lewis has a higher floor than Crabtree for some reason. But I'm probably wrong.

I do think Marvin is going to see an uptick in production in December.. he saw 11 targets on Thanksgiving but he's still sort of hard to trust. He's had a lot of very crappy games since his blazing start.
Snead is no great shakes but he has a pretty high floor in that offense. Even without being a primary option he usually sees 7-8 targets a week and is good for about 5 catches.
I just worry about playing Marvin and getting a total egg. He's been really underwhelming in like 5 of their last 6 games.
