NFT: Random Television: Dirk Gently's Holisitic Detective Agency

Has anyone been watching this?

Frodo is in it.

I actually think it's funny in a quirky way. Maybe I'm prone to liking it because I bought a copy when it was first released and I got Douglas Adams to sign it (along with my paperback copy of HHGTG) at a Barnes and Noble.

to miller and I hope Greg doesn't see this because... there are... hipsters on the show... but... "Search Party" on TBS, what a great little 1 series show! Highly recommend it.
Yes, really enjoying it

I didn't like the book as much as the HHGTTG, but I really enjoy this adaptation.

You have the HHGTTG signed by Douglas Adams? I'm really jealous.

You should check out the BBC radio show of Hitchhiker's Guide that was its predecessor.
I've been watching Dirk Gently but am currently an episode behind

I love it. It's not for everyone, but I really dig the absurdity and gratuitous violence. It's quirky, it's strange, and it's funny.

I think it's an adaptation Douglas Adams would probably be ok with.

BTW, there was another BBC Dirk Gently series years ago, I recently watched it on YouTube, I think this version is better, even if it is a more Americanized version.
+1 on Search Party

Very funny / well written and also super binge worthy.

If you have Amazon Prime, Red Oaks is a great show too.
