Does anyone have Spectrum since the merger with TWC? I was looking to potentially switch from FiOS, but the new packages for Spectrum, are not that amazing. I think I may have to seriously consider cutting the cord.
Technically the product is superior in every way, and as far as I've seen they're priced similarly. I just figured Spectrum's target audience was people who couldn't get Fios at their location.
Had a few hiccups now and then but honestly not too many incidents or bad customer service. They've always been fairly helpful. With that said, I was paying A LOT, and went into their "store" on 23rd and 5th to see what I could get changed. It was honestly a fairly pleasant experience and got a new package with just internet and tv for like $50 less a month. Also, cable boxes went down from like $12 to $5 a month with the change over to Spectrum. So some positives there for sure. I haven't noticed much else
On Demand content has declined. Shows that used to be available next day can take up to a week, channels that used to offer full seasons of episodes now have a handful (not always in proper order), and shows are not even organized inside their folders.
I dont watch any live TV other than sports, so it is irritating. However, I watch most of my stuff through the associated streaming services (ie: HBO Go, Showtime streaming, etc.) so those are still good.
to pry FIOS from my dead, rigor mortis-ridden fingers.
This.
Suffered underTWC and optimum far too long to forget their suckitude.
FIOS is has superior internet performance and picture quality without lag or pixelization. I threaten to leave every so often to get my bill reduced, but would never go through with it.

It was price. I have FiOS and love the TV and internet. But, I have the most basic package for both. In fact, the TV package I have is not technically still offered. I have all the premium movie channels included, but no ESPN, YES, MSG, or FOX Sports, which sucks. If I upgrade the TV package I have to upgrade the whole triple play bundle to keep the movie channels, which is the deal breaker for my wife. So, I never pulled the trigger because I can't pay another $50/month just to have a few sports channels.

I have threatened to leave, but they do little to nothing in terms of customer retention. They basically say they understand.
we routinely had outages of the internet (about once every 3 weeks) and had to constantly reboot the box or the modem. With 2 years of FiOS, the internet has never been down and I had to reboot the cable box once.
