Well JAG is a relative term. Half ass golfer that I am, I can see his finesse shots are off - lack of his usual touch - typical of not playing for a while under pressure. Probably trying to do to much; too much body, over swinging, plus some new equipment. His swing looks fluid. His putting looks ok.
He'll likely be a JAG in a few tournies early. But talent usually comes to the front.
But you have to be able to do it for four rounds under every circumstance. All I'm saying is that this one round does not equal "Tiger's Back!" Like he's never missed a beat and he's going to start winning everything he plays in. People are acting like a round under par, several strokes off the lead, means he's ready to start dominating again. Let's not jump the gun.

Yes, you are correct. that is quite true, let's see his back (and knee) last 4 rounds.

I'm actually surprised at how well he's played so far.
The talent is still there, you still see the flashes of brilliance. Regaining consistency is going to be the battle.
That said, I'm not rooting for him, as golf thread guys know. I just can't stand the guy.
RE: That 18th hole is a thorn in Tiger's side this week.
overall - he's making a good showing for his first tournament back in over a year -- and holding his own in an impressive field of golfers -- his putting and his short game are definitely improved from the last outings
If he could consistently hit the fairways -- he'd be playing lights out
