Usual disclaimer: It matters not what I or any of us think as the games will not be affected by it. That's the Giants job, to get it done..
I have been accused of drinking the Kool-aid for this team, viewing them through rose colored glasses or being a total homer. To refute would be silly, as on here, once you get a rep, it sticks. So be it..
So again, though it matters not what we think or say, please share your beliefs nonetheless..
Steelers: Regardless of how they're playing, going into Pittsburgh is oft times a brutal venture..I don't see a win at all
Cowboys: We come up big here
Detroit: No friggin' idea..They're a very hard team for me to assess..They are capable of being offensively explosive..I just don't have any kind of read to date...
And yes, one game at a time, yada, yada, yada. So for discussion purposes only, I'm curious where your mindsets are at, at this point in time..
Cowboys-win by 10
Lions-win by 7
Eagles-Win by 14
Racial Slurs-Win by 3
12-4, wild card #1 and opening game at Atlanta
Hopefully, we can secure a playoff spot sooner than later.
Eli picks apart the defense, Steelers secondary is struggling.
I also think the Giants can beat Dallas again. The Vikings almost beat them last night and I don't think Dallas will win out.
The Lions are the team that concerns me most. They are scrappy and find ways to win.
Philly will want to even the score and also possibly play spoiler since they will likely be out of it by the time we see them again.
I think the Giants beat the 'Skins. They should have won the first game and I can see the Giants wanting revenge for that stupid loss.
So, I see the Giants winning against PIT, DAL and WAS and losing to DET and PHI and making the playoffs as the first wildcard.
I think the Giants come out fired up against Dallas, both on offense and defense. Now game could go either way, but I think the Giants will look very hard at this Vikings game and see how their D attacked them. Prescott only had 139 yards passing. Dallas only won this game because of crappy missed calls and a Viking fumble at their own 8 yard line! At any rate, another close one that I think the Giants pull out at home and give Dallas their 2nd loss of the season.
Detroit is a team much like us, but we are at home, play better at home and will be fired up once again if it means a shot at the playoffs this week. This is almost a must win IMO and probably the last game where we might be favored. If I had to choose a winner, it would be the Giants and it would put them at 10-6.
Philly on a Thurs night in Philly.......ugh. Regardless of their record, this will not be an easy game and never is. Could we win, sure, but we have to exorcise the demons there first. I'm saying we lose another close one here.
Washington on New Year's Day! Hopefully we won't need this game to get into the playoffs, but I would certainly like to go down to DC for some nice pay back. Very difficult game for Giants in DC. Skins play a lot better at home too. I think we may lose another close one here.
If we get to 10-6 as I've projected, we will most likely get into the playoffs as the 5th or 6th playoff team WC.
It's time for our offense to start ramping things up.
Pittsburgh will be tough.....but a win is possible.
Dallas has the NFL with them.....which will make it even tougher......but doable.
Detroit seems like frauds....winning late....look like more that others lost.
Eagles and Washington will be tough....always is....
Dallas - I figure a loss. We won't have a benefit of home field advantage. The Giant fans will take the money and the lower bowl will be a 50-50 of Cowboys/Giants fans. Their secondary defense is horrible and we'll have success moving the ball. Our defense will contain Zeke, but Dak will still move the ball. I'm not confident of our offense in the Red Zone which will lead us to settle for FGs. Cowboys do enough to win a tight game.
Detroit - We win handily. They can't rush the ball and our rush will prevent Stafford from getting in a groove. We look dominant in this game on both sides of the ball.
Whether our pk is successful or not will be the question...
I'm torn on Dallas. We match up well but they're like us...they just keep finding a way to win.
It's Detroit I'm worried about. Not sure why. But I am.
You also don't remember when the cowboys have only lost a single game. Their bandwagon is overflowing, and their fans will flood MetLife. At the Chicago game, a quarter of the lower bowl was empty. My guess is that they couldn't find a buyer and it was too cold for them. It was disheartening to see the empty seats.

But the Cowboys of '07 and '14 had great records and I don't recall anywhere near the Dallas crowd you're projecting..Not trying to be argumentative here, but I just haven't seen it..
The x-factor this year, of course is that DEFENSE.
If the D can continue to play at a high level, I believe the Giants will get to 11 wins.
If the offense can't get their sh!t together by January, it's all for naught regardless.
Wheels really fly off against Dallas, Giants get embarrassed as heralded Defense gives up 200 yards to Elliot. Annual BBI tailspin commences, with pitchforks and torches...
...on just 4 days rest, Giants blow fat lead in yet another soul-crushing defeat to the Eagles...
But DO recover against the Lions, finally getting to 9-wins and there ARE mathematical possibilities to make the playoffs...
...and, then we play the Redskins.
then win out
This game is a benchmark game for the Giants. Win and the division is still in play, and idea that they are not as good as their record or top tier team goes away.
Lose with the Cowboys coming up and they might be faced with winning two of their last three or missing the playoffs.
I m not confident they win Sunday or next week, but will root like hell that they do.
then win out
Yeah, being trounced (like 35-10) by the Steelers is what I've been thinking Alas..
BBI idiots will be out in full force: "I knew this was a mirage. what was I thinking? Same old same old."

Rooting hard has never been the issue..:)
Cowboys - Loss
Detroit = easy win

If you can, watch the replay of 2011 Dallas game with division on the line. Our crowd was great.
If they win this game then I believe they will know that they can play against any team in the league and they know they can beat Dallas. This game sets the table or throws them into a battle for respect these are the games Tom could not win can McAdoo break this failing?
If the Steelers were 1-10, playing at home with Ben, Bell and Brown healthy, I'd still see a loss or potential blowout no matter how well our D has played, imv
12-4
Dallas...I think after getting embarrassed in Pittsburgh, the Giants will bounce back and give the Cowboys a real fight, perhaps sweep them. A win would not surprise me at all.
Detroit...have no idea.
I think the Giants win 2 more games and get to 10 wins. Whether that will be enough, who knows.
I will say one thing: I like McAdoo quite a bit. I was very worried after the Baltimore win because it seemed like the team would be plagued by stupid penalties, turnovers, and other mental errors. But that has been corrected. And while there have been complaints about the offensive play calling, I think he's been superb in this area. He has his finger on the pulse of the team and is playing to that; in this way I think he's an improvement over Coughlin who at times could be pretty stubborn.
The offensive line is a major problem and I'm not sold that the defense is as great as everyone seems to think, but this team isn't beating itself either.
My gut says to hope for 3-2 and the five seed. I don't think we catch Dallas.
Dallas -- very confident in a win
Detroit -- very confident in a win. Detroit is a soft team with no running game. JPP and Vernon should go off on Stafford. Their defense is horrible.
* This weekend the Giants struggle early but the defense keeps things close. I'll say we trail by 10 at half (13-3), and by 6 (16-10) heading into the 4th. I'm calling for a solid final 12 minutes and a 20-16 gut-check victory.
* Against Dallas, the win against the Steelers offers a nice boost. Playing at home, the Giants start quickly against the Cowboys and lead 17-7 at the half. The defense does enough after intermission and we go on to get a feel-good win over the Rulers of the Free World, 24-17.
* It's a struggle at home the following week against the schizophrenic Lions. But the Giants scratch out a really ugly win, 16-13.

As The Good Doc said at the top, none of what we say makes a hill of beans of a difference.
But I really see no way, the way this season has gone, and the way the team is playing right now (solid and improving on D, and with a hope for upside on O), that any one of these games are decided by double-digits.
Even in the games we were knocked around - Minnesota and GB - the scores were, on paper, respectable.
Let's hope I get it right.
I think that continues, but it's true they haven't played the upper echelon of the NFL during this streak.
The closing schedule isn't kind, a 2-3 finish wouldn't surprise, but it should also be good enough for a playoff spot for a team that seems to be ascending but perhaps a year away.
Not sure what will come vs. Dallas, I fear that if this weeks game vs Pitt is a tough physical game, we may not be able to hold up with the Cowboys as they have an extra few days of rest. If we beat Pitt I say we lose to Dal. If we lose to Pitt. I say it putts extra motivation to squeak out the W vs Dal.
Lions, I see us winning.
Eagles will probably even the score, especially because its Thursday night and they are the home team.
I expect to finsish the season strong against Washington, it will be a very tough game, as Washington will be playing for a playoff spot, and I think we will have already secured one either way.
I think 3 more wins is very likely, I just think if our Offense doesn't start to pick it up, that our defense is going to start to tire out, and wont be able to close out games like they have been.
3-2...whether that gets a playoff spot or not..don't know. May lose out on tiebreaker I guess
I'm a Debbie downer on the O. Eli is no longer the field general he used to be, and isn't getting as much as he should from this unit.
I expect slow starts where the D keeps us in the game, and then it's all whether the O does enough to garner a win. No real confidence.
but..... W/L/W
3-2...whether that gets a playoff spot or not..don't know. May lose out on tiebreaker I guess
Mick, we go 3-2 to finish 11-5, we're getting a playoff spot. Yes, the '08 Pats were 11-5 with Cassel. That was an out and out fluke, imv
