NFT: Pie or Cake

Warm fruit pie(apple, blueberry, etc) with vanilla ice cream

be Ice Cream and that draws out all the spices in the delicious fruit filling.

Red velvet and champagne cake rock. But Apple, Key Lime, and a chocolate/PB cheesecake are damn good also

But with pie you can.

but an add on like ice cream makes it more than just pie, IMO. A good warm chocolate cake with that same vanilla ice cream is pretty money, but as a stand alone I'm still taking pie.

Depends on the mood. Thanksgiving and Christmas, pie all the way.

The other ten months out of the year, I'll take cake. Carrot cake, chocolate cake, coconut cake with some buttercream...

As others have stated, heated blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream is heavenly. Heated apple pie with vanilla ice cream is a somewhat distant second.

Does a chocolate brownie count as a cake? A heated chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream is pretty terrific too.

I've had some carrot cakes that are very good. Most cakes have too much frosting and derive too much of their flavors from the frosting for me.

I'd put that in the cake category.

My wife will make me an Apple Meringue Pie. Not many people have even heard of it, let alone taste one. We found a recipe almost 40 years ago and it's been tried and true ever since.

So when I get that, it's Pie #1 and nothing else matters.

Other than that on other occasions......it depends.

I'm gonna just throw ice cream cake out there too, if you have to have ice cream. Man this is tough. I love me some pumpkin pie. Key lime too. They don't need no stinking ice cream. A really good chocolate layer cake is awesome. I can't decide. There is no right answer, is the correct answer.

I've heard brownies are classified as cookies (which doesn't sound right to me).

Dare I say should fall under pie since it has a crust and a filling. If it sounded better it would be cheese pie.

My late Grandmother's Chocolate Cake for my birthday to be exact. Her apple pie was almost a tie.

And frosting is in essence the greatest dessert ever created. Cake is a frosting delivery mechanism, ergo cake wins.
