But rebound when it counts against division rivals. I think they end up 10-6. Not sure if that's good enough. Dallas stumbles in the playoffs while if the Giants get in could be a surprise
It's not supposed to rain tonight in Pittsburgh until later tonight and I think that helps the Giants. It will be a gritty, tough game but they can win it.
Bell can expose our weakness there and also our ability to cover a TE or RB out of backfield. Need a strong game from front four. Offensively we have to shed our conservative ways and test the Steeler secondary deep. Eli throws one of the best deep balls in the league- let's see it!
RE: I'm going to stick with my theory of the past few weeks
That's the team we're going to have to beat today, not the one that forgot to show up against Philly. They'll be fired up in front of a home crowd and have had extra time to rest and prepare. I don't see how anyone would be confident. If they play like they have the past two weeks, NYG will lose, and it probably won't be very close.
will make the Giant's 9-3. This, as we can all appreciate will tend to give us a significantly poorer draft choice next year. I'm not sure that I will be able to break through the resulting gloom. At least we will all share it.
I just feel that we won't match the intensity this week the
win streak is no fluke but the Steelers are a tough match up
mainly do to Big Ben . If we can avoid turnovers and big
plays on specials it will be a close game . If we don't turn
the ball over and make costly mistakes we will win .
Desperate Steelers at home is a tough game .
Actually, I didn't..I said that I was concerned, but that as with the Bears game(also my prediction), we'd win it at the end. That both games would be tough and close..Today, I'm saying we will most likely lose..So no, you're inxorrect. Go back and re-read my posts re Bears and Browns, if you care to.
All I care about is how great it is to have meaningful games in Dec...
It's fun to be getting excited - the anticipation building as we get closer to game time - to be watching other games because they impact the Giants (ala Dallas Thu night) ... I've missed it - and it's nice to have it back.
One of his last opportunity to knock down Ben.
He will be slinging it today and Pittsburghs DBs can be beat. Also Ben Meet JPP and Vernon. Ben loves the those seven yard drop backs.
And we have Landon Collins too which is Nice.
clock management, special teams and penalties will be huge today. Of those, special teams concerns me the most.
I don't know who the officiating crew is but fingers are crossed that a fair game will be called, though can't do much on that front if it isn't the case.
I have not been a fan of Harris running it out of the end zone. He hasn't been able to get up to or past the 25 all that often so I'd prefer that he take a knee. I am torn about OBJ returning punts. While he can be explosive, it feels like there is a higher vulnerability to those plays and I'd prefer OBJ not be quite so vulnerable. However, if the Giants' need for better field position necessitates taking a chance with OBJ in that role, so be it.
Everyone needs to hold onto the ball today. I also would not be surprised if the Giants defense scores another defensive TD today.
Talking about a video that surfaced of Antonio Brown & ODB hanging out last night... Most were saying you don't fraternize with the "enemy" BEFORE the game... After OK, but never before! CC said he's stop by a (his) former teams hotel B4 a game to say Hey to (former) teammate friends but not hang out... (not sure I believe that...)
Problem or not?? (Focus during game...?) For me NO! ODB always seems pretty intense & focused on WINNING. Will do whatever it takes. (& gets downright PO'ed when he's not included... enuf)
The defense should hold up okay if they can contain LeVeon Bell, but the offense cannot fuck around in this game - they will need sustain drives and put up 28 points, or they will lose.
would be a favorite with the way our D is playing. But this years just sqeaking by offense......it's going to catch up to them. Hopefully they find the answer starting today.

Anyone here think that Odell's competitiveness will be sacrificed one iota because he's also friends with Antonio Brown?
Rw81, I know this wasn't a complaint of yours, but this type of concern is one of the more tired 'well, in my day' complaints that are out there. These guys are friends. It's OK.
Steelers last two wins against Browns and Luck-less Colts and they've lost last two at home. They aren't a powerhouse. Control Bell. Pressure Ben. Run the ball enough. This game is winnable.

Bobby, you know that past results (Browns, Colts) are not indicative of all that much..You also know, playing any team from NY brings out the best in opponents..
the strengths of Pittsburgh and the Giants match well -- Giants Defense against Pittsburgh Offense -- we have limited star receivers and star running backs really well this year and our Dline plays disciplined manning the gaps
the weaknesses match well too -- Giants Offense against Pittsburgh's Defense - elite WRs have had their way with Pittsburgh this year -- and this favors Eli as the "difference" factor
I do see it as being a tough game -- but I see the Giants limiting Pittsburgh scoring and making key stops. Eli should be able to make 3 or 4 Tds today -- with a missed PAT on the Giants or 3 TDs + 2 Fgs and 2 Pittsburgh TDs and 3 FGs -- 27 to 23 Giants win
not only about the linebackers, but also the Free Safety position......the Steelers have guys that can go long....is Adams quick enough to help the corners and protect the middle?
I think the offense has to win this one.....
Out of our 5 remaining games, this is the least important
I'm sure the stadium will be packed with giants fans. I don't see the typical home field advantage the steelers are used to having being a factor today.
of MS being added to the Fox NFL Pre- and Post-Game shows? He
never looks at MS, studiously looks off into space or at Jimmy, Terry,
and never responds to his comments.
RE: RE: Question: Will Ereck Flowers Extend His Arms...
You are what your record says you are - Go GIANTS!
It's worked so far.... why mess up a good thing?
You said that last week big guy.

Yes. FOX game of the week. Buck/aikman always do those games.

#Giants Inactives: QB Johnson, WR King, Safety Berhe, DE Odighizuwa, OG Gettis, OG Pugh, LB Herzlich #NYGvsPIT
73 Marshall Newhouse expected to start for 67 Justin Pugh at LG #NYGvsPIT
...today and lock his elbows?
Or will it be another 60 minutes of watching him catch the DE as he charges into our LT's chest?

Also, will he give us his weekly obligatory holding call pinning us in a 3rd and long?
