Said the NYG would lose by 10 at minimum in Pittsburgh.
We can't win 10 like this.
I think the roof caves in though down the stretch. This all seemed like smoke and mirrors all year because of the OL's poor play. Now that we're stepping up in class, those chickens are coming home to roost. Gun to my head, my guess is we squeak by the Lions for our only win down the stretch and we pray shit lines up for us at 9-7 to get a WC.
At this point I'm just hoping somebody stops the Cowboys from marching to 18-1.
But do I miss Rueben Randell. Cruz just doesn't have it. Shep is a slot WR. We need a WR opposite OBJ, a TE, possibly another RB, and help all around the OLine.
Seriously? You miss him? If he's in this game Eli throws 4 picks, not 2.
Patient? He's shown that he hasn't improved at all from last year. I gave him the benefit of the doubt last year with injuries and what not but it's time to face facts that he isn't a left tackle by any stretch of the imagination
me of the Packers game. Couple good drives, couldn't take advantage of anything and ultimately got outplayed throughout the majority and didn't have enough to stay in it.
biggest problem is the OL. Our tackles can't handle speed rushers. Flowers looks like a slightly better version of James Brewer. RIchburg gets no push. He's frequently pushed back.
No running game, and constantly throwing against six and seven DBs puts pressure on Eli. This is part of the reason nobody but OBJ is ever open. But Eli has missed a lot of throws, and it looks like he has lost some arm strength.
We have no breakaway RB. Perkins is a "make you miss" RB, but won't run away from anyone.
We have no TE who can threaten the seam. Tye is a very good move the chains TE, but doesn't have the speed to get up the middle. Not sure about Adams.
We also desperately need a coverage LB.
Acid, I don't think he's lost arm strength. I think it's bad fundamentals resulting for battered QB syndrome.

Yep, really you could just change uniforms. It was like watching a rerun.
on Thursday makes this much less painful. Total fantasy that we were in the hunt for the division. Split the last 4 and we'll almost surely get our first playoff spot in 5 years.
we need to start watching out for Tampa. They are hot and I could see the worst case scenario of Dallas finding a way to beat the Giants and then rolling over "like a dog" as Simms used to say to Tampa and losing, putting the Giants and Skins in trouble.
He had a phantom holding call, and then 1 illegal procedure call. Much better than Jerry (for instance). I thought he was ok. Hart is starting to look like the real deal at RT.
when it's tie breaker time, a loss on the road to an AFC team isn't the worst thing. If I had to pick a game they had to lose in this final 5 game stretch, it would be this one.

Need to hope for a Seahawks loss also tonight, make today's shitshow much more palatable
but he needs to sit for Perkins...and McAdoo absolutely needs to do something about the O-line...if McAdoo can't fix these 2 issues, then this season going down in flames is on him.
They don't play against each other. I hate when they bring that up. Aikman was really bad today and I usually think he's fair, but man that was a terribly called game.
Ben is a better QB than Eli. It's okay to accept it at this point.
I don't think so......but that's my opinion and to bring up the point that Ben is 3-1 head to head against Eli is a ridiculous statement.
That has to go into the the Troy Aikman Bias Hall of Fame .
He ignored every uncalled flag (holds, PI) that would favor the NY Giants (except implying Beckham is a "crybaby"), and repeatedly replayed "uncalled" flags on Pittsburg.

I agree with this. Jennings needs a better blocking line in front of him. Perkins gives us something we need.

Agreed that Flowers is a problem, but I think Hart played pretty well. But let's face it, the holding penalty for the Safety was weak. Villanueva was wrapping up Vernon all game and wasn't getting called.
They have struggled offensively against some of the worst defenses in the league. This guy McAdoo is over his head. I really underestimated Tommy's impact on game planning and in game adjustments.
The first warning sign was not being able to score on NEw Orleans shitty defense at home.
1. this team has for too long ignored 5-15 yards from the LOS. that means ignoring TE on offense, ignoring LBs on defense. it seemingly bites us every week - - on both sides
2. our # 2 and # 3 WRs are non-existent. disgraceful. either they get zero separation or Eli doesn't look at them. blame the run game, but there are several plays where Eli has time and no one is open.
3. the OL is disgusting.
a. Flowers may be the biggest first round bust this franchise has had in quite some time if he's continually left to dry at LT. he's flagged multiple times per game (ticky tack on the safety or not), he's beaten on most plays he's NOT flagged on, and quite frankly the one "real" TD we got today could've easily been called back on yet another blatant hold from him.
b. Jerry was obliterated on the 4th down pass play to Tye, where if Eli gets half an extra second, Beckham is standing wide open
c. Newhouse is not a guard. clearly.
4. this is a championship caliber defense even with glaring holes at LB. you can't fault a defense that time and again puts the offense in good position just to see them piss it away. and seeing as how the offense can't actually sustain a drive (we had literally ONE today, which ended in the game's biggest play; the INT), the D is starting to get gassed late in the game.
5. Eli is not the QB we saw the last couple of years. i'm not saying get rid of him or anything absurd, but anyone that believes he's playing at the same level as 2011, 2014, 2015 is delusional. i still trust him, but i don't think he's the same and its showing.
going backwards. And when he's driven back like he was on that one play the refs should have blown the whistle, BUT, he should have known there was NO WAY he could make a play happen after spinning free and running back forward again. He was back tracking on every catch.
This offense just needs to play high risk throughout the entire game like they did the last two seasons. We scored a ton because we had to risk it in countless shoot outs.
RE: RE: RE: Wtf cares is Big Ben is 3-1 against Eli?!

Flowers was real lucky to not get called for holding on Jennings's TD.
I also think Ben should relinquish playcalling (bite my tongue)
otherwise we might find ourselves on the outside of the playoffs again. I hate to say that because of how far we've come this year and were finding ways to win. TB is now 7-5 and breathing down our necks in the Wild Crad too and so is Atlanta. Next week becomes an extremely important game for us and how confident can you be about our offense winning a game against the Cowboys, even at home?!

Yea he held the shit out of Timmons. I wouldn't have been surprised if they called it. Anytime this team has a big explosive momentum changing play he's there to bring it back with penalty.
Of these last five gauntlet games this is the one they could most afford to lose. The division is lost but we can still get inside the Cowboys head with a win next week, remember what happened to our former coach in '99 the Jaguars only lost to one team, Tennessee the entire year but lost to them THREE times. BELIEVE!!! Yes I have been drinking

Its TB or ATL... we dont have to worry about both. One will win the division and go in, we'd have to compete with the other for a wildcard.
to address the OL next year bigtime. Starts in the trenchs, 57 yards rushing today, f-n horrible.
He tried, he's just not being successful. But we have 3 1st or second round picks in the line. Pugh is pretty good, Richburg seemed decent last year (but frankly I think that might have been a bit of mirage) and Flowers needs to go to RT. If we pick in the mid 20's not sure we're going to get a LT candidate (isn't not meant to be a poor offensive tackle draft?) and we're certainly not getting one in FA.
going into today. Now, I'm pretty sure we're f'ed. The team overall is better than last year, mostly due to the defense, but the offense is broken. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't they can compete with the better teams they're facing the rest of the season.
We can't win 10 like this.

OBJ getting Dangerfield, Melo treatment, no respect from the refs.
Well, there may be a silver lining here...
Yep, really you could just change uniforms. It was like watching a rerun.
Earlier in season, Norman also had a critical hands to face call on Dallas's winning TD drive against WASH.
When you foul on every play, a few will get called, some at very inconvenient times.
You need linebackers with speed to stop the screen game.
Need to hope for a Seahawks loss also tonight, make today's shitshow much more palatable

If you look at their respective performances over the past couple of years.. yeah Ben is better and it is not even close.
If anyone says that right now Eli is better, then you are crazy.
We can't win 10 like this.

Only one team in the NFL has a great OL. Phil Simms was talking about this. You have to learn to scheme around it

Shep looks like another 2nd round JAG at this point. Cruz is done. Or maybe Eli just doesn't have enough time to look their way?

You mean as opposed to the two first rounders and second rounder already invested?
those 57 yards might've been 100+ if Perkins was the main guy.
Really, really, disappointing afternoon.
